Osprey Daylite Duffel Bag 45

> 3 dayThis is an excellent duffle. It is really well made – all the zippers move well, the fabric is really sturdy, the straps are padded & well made, finger pulls on zippers make it easy to open/close & there is a lot of room. The padded straps can function as backpack straps which is great if you are on public transport or going thru an airport or train station. They are not meant for long hauling but are comfortable during travel. There is a key fob in the large front pocket. For storing, it all folds up & is held together with the straps – nice & neat/flat.

> 3 dayI personally own five or six Osprey backpacks which are my favorites. I also own a few of the toiletry bags and stuff sucks. I like the versatility of having a duffel bag for an overnighter or a weekend bag. 45 L seems to fit the bill very well. I also like that it converts from a duffel to a backpack in case you have to carry other items. Side pockets are good but a little small. I wish it had storage for the main hand/backpack straps when not in use (like when I am using ONE shoulder strap). Of course If I could tuck away these main straps then I would have no way to pick up this bag… this is the one caveat of the bag. It seems to have two nice connection points for a nice shoulder strap but it does not come with one. I do see that there is one available but it is in a different color and it is $15 extra. I like carrying the bag with one hand and appreciate the backpack option but wish it had a shoulder strap. If it did, this would be 5 stars across the board.

> 3 dayLightweight, collapsible, stow-able, overhead-bin-able, comfortable as a backpack, or as a regular duffel. Has a stretchy exterior compartment thats big enough for a regular Nalgene style bottle. Nice grip handles at both ends, and a couple pockets (one long front pocket, and one end short end pocket) for various documents, or maybe a phone or ipad. Construction seems good, zippers work well. Its very much suited for purpose as a carry-on bag, and it meets the specifications exactly.

> 3 dayThis fits withing most major airlines carry-on specs, so you can easily use it as your carryon. If traveling without kids, my husband I have found that its much easier to travel with big backpacks vs. wheeled luggage....you can get through the airport more easily without trying to wheel around people. I like that it has the option of backpack or carrying straps if you have another backpack you wanted to carry for your personal item. Easy to stuff with clothes for a week long trip if you roll them. Also has a good amount of exterior organizing pockets for your liquids ziplock, passports, etc. that you would need quick access to.

> 3 dayI was excited to see that Osprey had come out with a line of elegant simple duffle bags. Ive been a huge fan of Osprey for years, they have created well-designed travel products and also amazing backpacking backpacks. The Daylight Duffles are a great lightweight duffle bag perfect for short trips or for a run to the gym. They arent overbuilt, just a large main compartment and two smaller zippered pouches on the end and side including one with a clip for your keys. As with nearly all Osprey bags it can be used as a backpack but also works well as a normal duffle bag. I love that the Daylight is made from recycled materials although you would never guess as they seem incredibly durable and functional. I was excited to get all 3 sizes, 60L, 45L, and 30L to always have the right one for need. The 30L is great for a quick day trip or taking to the gym, the 45 is good for an overnight trip and the 60 is the perfect size for a quick weekend trip. They also nest easily for easy storage. Im also assured by Ospreys guarantee to repair for free any damage or defect in the product. It is great to have the knowledge that my new favorite bag will be with me for the long term. Couldnt be happier with Osprey as a company and these bags.

> 3 dayThis is the first compelling offering that Ive seen that functions well both as a backpack and a duffel. This 45L bag is the perfect size for a long-weekend. This bag has a really impressive build quality and the fabric, stitching, straps, etc all feel top-notch. Even loaded up, it is very comfortable as a backpack. I liked this bag so much, I also bought a larger version! Highly recommend!

Greater than one weekNot only is this an eye catcher, its the perfect carry-on airlines piece. Its super light, yet really carries alot. I use this on airline trips and carry a heavier jacket, and even snow shoes, if the weather is bad when I land. Snacks for the flight, electronics, paperwork, etc. Theres also a handy side pocket. I did a lot of research and even sent a few bags back before finding this beauty. Osprey is a great brand. You cant go wrong here.

> 3 dayTamaño perfecto. Excelente color. Buen material. Me gusta que sea un producto libre de PFCs y hecha con materiales reciclados. Es necesario que todas las marcas sigan este camino.

> 3 dayI am an experienced traveler who used to travel internationally for work frequently. If there is a one bag product out there - including other designs by Osprey - Ive tried them, and likely hauled them to places as far away as India or Australia. The older I get, the more I value a lightweight bag without a lot of bells and whistles. Using that criteria, this bag exceeds expectations. If you are a true one bag advocate, this is likely not the bag for you. There is no place to put a laptop, and few pockets to store other items. Having said that, every airline Ive ever flown on has allowed a second personal bag. When I travel for work that means a messenger bag to hold my laptop and other work items, and when I travel for pleasure I carry a small, lightweight pack (usually the Osprey Ultralight Stuff pack) with my iPad and other personal items. So this should be a non-issue, unless you are traveling internationally through Heathrow and the security people are being unreasonable (which they usually are). For everyone else, this bag is near perfect. Its lightweight, seems durable, and isnt over-engineered. The Porter 30 is a lovely bag, but far too small for more than a couple days of travel (forget about packing a change of shoes...). The Farpoint 40 has great support, but at the expense of packing space (its really closer to 35l) and accessibility. This bag, the Daylite Duffel, manages to be international travel size but lets you use the full 45l of space, and getting to items in the bag couldnt be easier. With packing cubes I was able to overpack for a 10-day trip carrying only my Osprey Ultralight as an additional personal bag (disclaimer: I did a load of laundry halfway through the trip for socks/underwear). For a weeklong trip or less this bag has you covered nicely. The Daylite Duffel is suprisingly comfortable as a backpack. Not as sturdy as the Farpoint but certainly comfortable enough for getting through airports and to your hotel. The two side pockets are small, but functional. The smaller pocket held a pair of glasses and sunglasses on my latest trip, which was very useful. The only nit I would pick - and its something Ive read in other reviews - is that if the bag isnt fully packed it sort of folds into itself in the middle when you are using the duffle handles. This doesnt really affect... anything... but it feels a little awkward when you are carrying it. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayI love that I can wear this as a back pack or a duffel bag! Great size for a weekend trip! Just the right number of pouches!
