The install was easy, like any other printer cartridge. My NOT UPDATED printer recognized them with no problems. I dont update my printers anymore because, often, they are updates to block third party ink cartridges and that is it. Not gonna have THAT. I own the printer and Ill put what ink I want in it. Im not going to be held hostage. Your mileage may vary according to update status.

These worked great in my canon pixima. The printer shows no errors and the quality was fine. Overall way better than buying name brand prices.
