> 3 dayI am very ordinary and no nothing about all the technical stuff people write in their reviews, I just like to listen to music, through headphones, for a couple of hours a day to relax. SO, I thought I would write this for people like me. Usually I use a pair of Sennheiser closed back cup sort of phones and I bought these to see what the open back ones sound like and for back up. This compares the two, and for starters, the sound is different in as much as the Philips are absolutely crystal and very very precise, the majority of the music hits you right in the top centre of the head and only rarely dances about. The Sennheiser ones deliver bass in the left ear, treble in the right, and vocals everywhere, and are very very lively, so even though the Philips are sharp as a tack, for me, the Sennheiser are more fun and make the music more immersive. Next is the weight, and the difference is considerable, the Philips are a stronger, stiffer, and maybe more durable and robust set, but the payoff is that they are considerably heavier than the Sennheiser. Which brings me to the final point, that being, a number of reviews i read here said how comfortable the Philips are, and I have to disagree. Sennheiser being so much lighter, the padding I find much kinder, and the general fit of the cup overall, I find that after a couple of hours I am pleased to get the Philips off, but with the Sennheiser much less so and could happily carry on longer. Therefore, my findings are that the Philips are very strong, the sound very clean and accurate and concentrates the sound square in the top of your head, and absolutely delivers a good experience for the money for probably a good number of years, I would recommend to others like me that the Sennheiser are more fun and definitely nicer to wear for long periods. Hopefully this helps Joe Average looking for only a pleasant listening session!

Greater than one weekNot the most realistic sound profile, might even sound better by being closed back. However, the headphones are both comfortable and affordable; affordable compared to monitor headphones that play genuine sound. Time will tell if these fall apart in a year or actually last, but so far they are worth the 150 dollars they are sold for.

> 3 dayThis headphone is awesome. OK thats out of the way. It sounds great with anything you throw at it music wise. Jazz, rock, EDM, all sound great. It can reproduce low end very well and the sound stage is great.

> 3 dayWas really excited to get these headphone that Ive been eyeballing for couple of years. Prices went up and decided to forget about them. I was looking for my next open back headphones when my Sivga 007 got a loose wire inside the earcup (was having issues with the headphone jack and I decided to take a look inside). The Sivga lasted me for 3 years with light use but it all it needs is the wire to be solder. Now back to the L2. So after finding them on sale for 80 bucks I had to get them. When I got them, I was immediately impress by the looks but most importantly the construction! The headband and the headband adjuster is made very damn solid! There is some padding on the headband but not as much as my other inexpensive headphones. Still sufficient for me and no soar spots on my head. I must thank my thick bushy hair. Ha! The earcups are made of thin aluminum but sturdy. Not very heavy but you can diffidently feel the quality and some heft to them. Especially the headband! They can swivel to lay them flat. Very smooth when they swivel. Wish the earpads were a little deeper but it worked out for me quite good. The cables that came with it are very nicely made. No cheapy wires! The wire with the microphone (I dont use it) has a very sturdy feel to it. Thick plastic. Doesnt feel cheap. Now for the sound! When I first put them on they sounded really good! The bass isnt very deep but I wasnt looking for an open back with deep bass. Regular bass sounded good but if I wanted an extra oomph, I just turn on the bass boost on my portable amp and was good to go. Im no expert but everything else sounded good to me. They are somewhat forward sounding which is not a bad thing. The headphones seem to be a mix between close and open back. Not too open like the Sivga 007 and not too closed. I like headphones or IEMs to sound different but also enjoy my music at the same time. I had the headphones for less than a day. I use them in the afternoon for my walk and they sounded great to me! BUT when I used them again at night, they started to sound quite off. It would sound harsh at times and sometimes it would have a SHHHH sound. I thought maybe it was the wire, the music I was playing or something else. I did switch wires but the same issue. The sound wasnt consistent when I first put them on. The box did came with a dent on the top left of the box but the headphones were fine. Sounds like a bad driver. Who knows how long they been in that box! So I give the headphones a 4 star for construction but a 3 1/2 stars for sound! Again dont expect very deep bass but again it could be because of these problems? Who knows. I did order a replacement because I do like them when they sounded good but will see what happens with the replacement! If anybodys interested Ill do an update once I receive the new replacement. If they sound good Ill keep them!
