> 24 hourIve used CyberLinks software for years, and when you need these features, it is the tool to use. It has just the right blend of easy to use the first time with enough features that you actually use that work great. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourThe CyberLink PowerDirector 21 Ultra & PhotoDirector 14 Ultra package is a complete photo and video editing software package that includes TONS of features for your WINDOWS based computer. Yes, this is a Windows based software package that includes the two CD installation disk set, or if you laptop or desktop does NOT have a CD ROM unit, it also includes the Digital Download instructions so you can download the software without using the disks. You will need the Registration Key Code regardless of which method you use to install the software. This key code is printed on Disk 1 of the software. I used the disks to install on my computer running Windows 11 without a hitch and it took about 15 minutes to finish the installation of all the software. I am not “unfamiliar” to photo and video editing, however I have never used PowerDirector. Following the excellent step by step directions and tutorials so far the software looks amazing! I am sure there will be a bit of a “learning curve” as there is with all new software programs however I look forward to learning and utilizing this as much as I can going forward. I do most of my current editing on my mobile devices (both iPhone and IPads) so I look forward to having my big monitor in use with this software in the future. I was able to import a bunch of my short videos and pics from my iPhone and IPad to folders on my computer for use via the software and built folders for them. As I stated, this software is jam packed with just about any editing tool you can think of and so far I am just scratching the surface of what can be done! I plan to watch all the tutorials provided and also setup my account for other info and tips from CyberLink along with the 1 year free cloud storage provided free as well!! If you are into video/picture editing from the basics to pro, this package should be able to do it all, and then some!

> 24 hourIm not a professional and never edit - so I will probably have to update this review. But frankly, Im lost. I have figured some out and love what I have discovered!!! I managed to download the program. The disk did not work with my laptop- but it comes with directions if that happens. It took about 5 to 6 hours to figure that out. I finally got it!!! I was able to cut my daughter and her fiance out of a picture and do a background. I love that feature. You can edit it in detail. Im thinking the features would be best with a green screen. I again, am learning. I will be taking my daughters maternity pictures- so I hope to master it by next month! I gave it 5 stars because from what Ive learned to do- it is amazing! I cant fault the product because I am technology ignorant. I hope my review is helpful. This product would be great for someone who knows what they are doing or can learn how to use the program!

> 24 hourThis is a pretty good software for editing photos, but it took me a bit of practice. Other than that, I would say theres plenty of good features, though nothing super fancy, so I would say its best for someone who just needs the basics and doesnt want to spend a ton, but if editing the photos is a more serious endeavor then it might not be quite up to par. For me, this works just fine, since the most I do is tweak and play around with my vacation photos.

> 24 hourI read the listing carefully before ordering. I even did a search on the word windows. No where did the listing at the time of my ordering tell me this would y work on an Apple machine. The company is known to produce software for both Apple and Windows. I was disappointed to Recife a box that clearly says only works on windows. I contacted the vendor - which requires you to open the box and register your product code to even get help, and they basically provided me the instruct to download this software online and suggested I buy the Apple version. So they were of no help whatsoever. I am very disappointed. Buyer beware.

> 24 hourIm pretty bad with learning new apps and programs. It feels sometimes like everyone else can just pick them up in an instant and suddenly use tons of advanced features, right out the gate. My husband does photoshop and that felt so daunting to me. He learned it when he had hours of wait time during a deployment, but I dont have that kind of time where Im forced to sit and wait for hours and need something to fill my time. Ive always wanted to do photo editing, but most of the software is just beyond my level. And it feels like most expect me to learn so much right away just to do something so simple. I installed this and it took forever. My computer is about 6 years old and full of junk, so that might have something to do with it. It has Windows 11 and is a 64 bit, but not a huge amount of ram. The download took no time at all. But installation? Over an hour for me. Once installed, I hopped into Power Director, read the little pop ups, and got to work. Using the helpful snip tool, as I wanted to edit some videos that I had for a slideshow, I was able to have my clips ready to go in maybe a minute each, which includes publishing and saving. I spent more time searching for clips than I did the actually editing process. All I did was snip the clips out, nothing else, then save them, and add them into my slideshow. I havent tried any of the more advanced features, because I havent needed them yet. For editing longer videos down, this thing is a breeze. Not only can I snip out just the parts that I want, I can edit the order of them as I work, add in gaps of time for transitions, or different styles of transition, and then I can publish it as a continuous stream. So no more adding in one video clip, then adding another, then adding another, and continuously hitting the spacebar in PowerPoint during presentations to get my series of clips to work. Just one smooth video with transitions that I upload into a single slide. It sounds so basic, but I searched high and low for a simple video editor that wouldnt break the bank, that would let me just cut out clips and join them together into one video, and couldnt find a thing that would work for me. This worked perfectly. My only, single complaint is that I was working with some dual audio clips. They had foreign language and English audio attached to the video. I was able to highlight the audio track and change it to English. However, it would only save in the foreign language. I didnt have time to figure it out. I dont know how to unlock the two audio tracks from each other, so I couldnt use all the clips that I made, because I needed the English tracks to make a point for my slideshow. So, today Ill be figuring all that out, hopefully, and will update with how it went. So far, this program has been easy for me to use and thats saying a lot. I think this is probably an intro program to folks interested in this kind of thing. I think that any age could use this program. Its been really helpful for my very basic needs and actually has me interested in trying some new stuff, because it doesnt seem daunting at all using this program. Very happy with this. I havent used tech support. However, when I googled a question about the program, I found 2 support forums on their website that had the answers that I needed. So thats really cool! So far, so good. Ill definitely be making more videos with this!

> 24 hourI had used Power Director 14 for years (and really liked it) so when I had the chance to upgrade I thought, why not? I primarily use it for some screen capture, video editing, and some transitions for my voiceover business. This software functioned well for my needs: Power DIrector: -Screen capture was easy to set up and functioned perfectly. It would be great for streaming. -Video editing was fluid and would be easy for a beginner to learn. -It also included lots of transitions and extra video content, which the previous version didnt have. -Exporting via different resolutions and frame rates was easy, plus the analyzer worked spot on to export at the same/similar rate as the original content. The only caveat I found with PowerDirector was a small glitch that exists in both version 14 and this one. Specifically, once I finished exporting a new video, I couldnt delete the old content without first closing the software. Every time I tried, it would give an error that it was open in PowerDirector, despite me first removing the content from the project dashboard. This makes it difficult to edit multiple videos on a small (and crowded) hard drive because I have to close the software completely after every video to delete the old version. Its a small thing, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Photo Director: Admittedly, I didnt have any experience with this prior to using it. I managed to learn some basic photo editing fairly easily and the interface was easy to follow.

> 24 hourInstallation and setup was a pain but that seems to be universal. Not sure why they make it so difficult? I mostly played around with the video editing and I really enjoyed it. It was easy and intuitive and took no time at all to create exactly what I wanted. It was a perfect time saver for me in creating my lame content. I dont have to waste nearly as much time creating something that nobody will ever actually see.

> 24 hourFirst, I would like to clarify what I mean by easy. Ive used another professional video editor for years, and it is still my go-to for more professional videos. I also used their other product directed at Photo Editing. That software takes a long time to master. In comparison, PowerDirector 21 Ultra and PhotoDirector 14 are easy. But there is always some learning curve with anything new. Even I struggled a little to find what I needed. Being more experienced, I will keep using the other software, but I did like PowerDirector and my wife decided she prefers this one because she doesnt do as many video and photo editing as I do. It is very powerful and will meet the needs of most vlogers, and hobbyists.
