It cut through 3/4 inch wood just fine. I would not recommend if wanting to use on metal.

Used it to cut holes for 6 HVAC duct from basement to second floor. Easily made clean cuts through sub and 3/4 solid oak flooring. The ceiling - lath & plaster - took a minute. In fact, I think it took longer to take out of the packaging and put into drill than it did to cut the 2 holes.

Good clean cutting hole saw for lights requiring 6 1/4” holes in sheetrock. Dont force the bit forward let it do its job without pressure and it will give you clean cut holes.

Hole saw is extremely sharp learned the hard way cutting hole in sheetrock use this saw slowly and Reverse your drill ,to stop unwanted walking off track

I would definitely return this but I have to get some holes cut for lights asap. One of the “high quality” drill bits showed up broke. Where they spliced the hole saw together, it doesn’t even match up. Horrible quality and quality control.

I added 4 lights to the masters bedroom. Easy cuts. Went great. I also replaced 2 old mushroom lights. Those had holes from the existing curing box. I used a cut out from the other new lights and screwed it over the replacement hole to guide the saw. Worked perfect.

This is a robust, heavy hole saw. The weight helps with doing what it is designed to do, cutting. I used this for cutting holes in sheetrock for installing recessed LED lights- it made quick work in doing this and was perfect for the job.
