Samsung does not honor their 5 year warranty. They will only provide a 3 year warranty with this product despite that the box says 5 years, the Samsung website says 5 years and this Amazon listing says 5 years. Ive spent hours on the phone with Samsung but they will not honor their 5 year warranty. Call Samsung before purchasing any of their SSDs to confirm the warranty and get it in writing.

Its a Samsung hopefully will last 5 years (at least according to warranty)

Installed this drive to replace a 5400 sata drive in a newly acquired laptop. Very easy to install and a big performance upgrade.

This SSD has been very stable under Monterey.

I have 3 of these Samsung SSDs, two 2TB and one 1TB. I love all of them, but I gave this purchase 1 star because of an issue with shipping. Instead of actually reading the package, and matching it with the order, someone at the fulfillment center just grabbed a box that said Samsung SSD and threw it in a packing envelope and shipped it. I ordered a Samsung 870 EVO 2TB, what I received was a Samsung Pro 1TB PCIE. Not even close! Normally I would just chalk it up to someone being human and making a mistake. In fact, thats exactly what I did WHEN IT HAPPENED THE LAST TIME! Yes, several months ago I purchased the exact same drive, and the exact same thing happened!! Nothing like pulling your computer out and getting it ready to install a new drive only to find out that Amazon shipped the wrong one.....and thats what happened to me...TWICE! Seriously, how difficult is it to read the package and make sure the item exactly matches the order?

I am not very computer savvy; however, installing this was a piece of cake. My dad bought one for himself and told me about this one. I read through the instructions prior to starting and it copied my previous hard drive perfectly. Upgraded from 120gb to 1tb in a matter of minutes!

This Samsung SSD is easy to install and is very reliable. Boot up is quick and easy. Highly recommend for everyday use or gaming.

My HP Lap Top computer had gotten to where it was taking minutes to boot up and then performance was horrible. I was not sure if this new SSD would cure anything but it has revitalized my computer. Changing out the original hard drive to this one saved my machine . It now boots up like it did when new and performance id great, I recommend this SSD. It worked for me.
