> 3 dayTook 5 minutes to install. I researched a ton of internal ssd options for my PS5 and I decided on this Samsung 980 pro with heatsink. I am not disappointed!

> 3 dayThis was a great upgrade for additional storage (or as a primary) drive on my laptop.

> 3 dayQuick warning, you may need to buy M.2 SSD screws if you plan to put it in your PC. At least I needed it in my B550. Also, you should download Samsung Magician. If you dont update the firmware for your SSD, the lifespan could be cut in half.

> 3 dayI bought the 2TB 980 PRO for my new PC build (specs below). It is used for gaming and video/photo editing programs. It is ultra-fast when playing games and generating content. However, it does not reach its advertised speed of 7000 MB/s. My SSD was reaching between 6700-6800 MB/s.

> 3 dayWhen the one terabyte drive that was in my laptop reported eminent failure, I picked one of these up and did a straight across clone. Then I adjusted my C partition so that I have twice the space that I had before. This has been very reliable for me and in fact since my laptop can take two drives, I purchased a second one in populated the other slot. So now I have 400% more space than was initially sold to me with the laptop. Very quality workmanship and reliable. I highly recommend this

> 3 dayThis is a nice middle ground between the more expensive 990 pro and the slower 970. With twice the read/write speeds of the 970 and being half the cost of the 990 while only being about 90% of the speed is great value. Im going to be using this until PCIE 5 ssds come out and become cheaper.

> 3 dayGoing from a spinning platter hard drive to even a SATA SSD back in 2017 was a big step up. It was time to replace that old SSD with something new (SSDs are great but when they do fail I understand that they fail spectacularly and all of a sudden). For peace of mind I wanted a new drive and thought I would go with an NVMe m.2-connected SSD for the claimed speed bonus.

> 3 dayPurchased this product for the PS5. Heard about firmware issue. Saw recent youtube by Jayztwocents who showed that if drive is manufactured in Vietnam in Dec 22, then it already has the latest firmware which corrects the issue of corruption-this issue appears to apply to drives manufactured in 21 in Korea. The drive I received from Amazon was manufactured in Vietnam in Dec 2022. I did not bother to check firmware. Very easy to install with second party heatsink. PS5 reported read speed of 6667mps. I have no regrets purchasing this drive.
