Works flawlesly. Just a reminder for those who encrypt their hard drives - you have to decrypt it before the copying program will be able to transfer the files to the new hard drive. After the copying is complete, you can encrypt the hard drive again.

I used this to replace my standard HDD in my late 2008 MacBook Pro 15” and it works perfectly! Boot up / load times in general have decreased and installing software is quicker as well!

Maybe is too early to say this but I fee I made the right choice with this SSD. This HD is super fast and it was incredibly easy to clone using Samsungs software. I used the Magician software from Samsung too to optimize performance and activated Rapid Mode and its flying. I just love this. I hope it lasts long enough. I only had budget to either purchase this HD or additional ram. I went for this and although I will purchase the ram in the future I do feel a great improvement in performance on my laptop.

This is a great quality of life investment over the stock hard drive. I was really struggling with the time it took to perform updates, but this SSD really improved the performance of my 3 year old laptop.
