I have been through 2 of these, they just do not stay connected on games that require a bit of load. Ive put GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, Battlefront 2, and FFXIV. The drive consistently fails as its being used more than like 15 - 30 mins of gameplay.

Amazing little portable SSD. 500g is enough to make up for my smaller SSD. I barely notice a difference between the two as far as speeds are concerned. Absolutely worth the price in my opinion.

My complaint about the unit is its only 2 TB. Too bad it is not at least 4 TB or even 16 TB as it works well. On the plus side they are quick. I bought two and as long as you can keep them cool (I run a ran on them constantly) you can routinely see 900+ Mbits/sec read and write speeds. I use my two for temp files doing data processing so you read off a spinning hard drive to SSD then process the data. Given only 2 TB these can only be used for little jobs so they dont stay attached all the time. It is nice to to get them out and really use them for data header manipulation between different input datasets.

This drive is perfect for backing up files. I have owned other SSD drives (T5) like this and have always been satisfied with the reliable performance and portability. Samsung makes excellent products.
