USB 3.1 Gen 2 is a big step in connectivity and speed, and the SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable drive delivered. A backup of over 350GB that took over 90 minutes to an external HDD needed only 50 minutes. Thats under the theoretical jump but realistic considering many small files. Some caveats. First, I would format this either in NTFS for Windows or HFS+ for Mac. I tried to keep the original exFAT format and created a backup file with an imaging program, but it mysteriously disappeared, and the drive capacity was still reduced. Second, SanDisk tech support, while courteous, wasnt too helpful in investigating the issue. They told me everything was fine -- according to Windows disk management. So I abandoned my plan to use this for files that could work with both my Windows 10 desktop and my MacBook, reformatted in NTFS, and tested. So far, speedy backups and release of disk space once files are deleted. Its light, compact, attractive and a standard carabiner will fit through the loop. Just test it thoroughly asap after it arrives and reformat unless you absolutely need ExFAT. And if you dont need it right away, way for a special. I bought mine on Prime Day and the savings paid for half my membership cost.

Descrição fidedigna. Produto excelente. Fácil instalação. Fácil utilização. Não uso criptografia, pois não sei utilizar e tenho receio de perder algum arquivo. Dispositivo leve, pequeno, design lindo como nas imagens, aparentemente durável (apesar da delicadeza, não parece que danifica fácil). Para meu objetivo, que é apenas armazenamento de documentos extensos, foi perfeito! Já coloquei MUITOS arquivos e ainda tem bastante espaço de armazenamento. Exatamente o que eu queria e precisava. Indico bastante!

I had this now for about a month and works great. I use it daily and experienced no issues. I really like the convenience of it being small enough to stick in your pocket and take it with you wherever you go. It proved durable so far.

Found it extremely difficult to get support and unreliable/difficult to store and access data.

disk didnt last more then a few months before now the drive is not being showing up. The entire computer locks up when trying to access the drive and it eventually times out.
