> 3 dayI did some research for the best solid state drive that had a good price tag and promised speed. I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2015) and I read in an online article that both of the USB ports on my computer are 3.0. While at first I was shopping around for a thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter, and going crazy trying to find a male to male adapter in one...I saw that usb 3.0 is 5 gbps. So I found a good Type C to Type A cord and I was about to check out with the drive and the cord, when I noticed that the drive came with that cord/adapter combo already! So I got the drive, and took it out of its packaging...I plugged it in to the right side 3.0 port...formatted the drive for HFS Journaled...and tested the speed with AJA Lite. The result? 40MB per second. What??!! That was slower than expected. I then remembered reading that the left side 3.0 port was the “true” 3.0, so I plugged the drive into that port, and did another test. This time it was 405MB per second! Awesome for my needs!

> 3 dayI like it a lot. However, you would be well advised to reformat it before use. Its file format is exFAT which is fine, but the cache status is too big. The result is that small files will take up more space than they need. I kept the exFAT format but reduced the cache size to eliminate wasted space.
