Seems to bright and cloudy definitely threw me for a loop when I first played a game had to fix the settings which took forever and the instructions on attaching the stand are misguiding although it is a big decent monitor I would only recommend but it is fine you should still get it as it can be good if the settings are fixed and you have a budget.

The monitor came with missing pieces and it was an essential piece that would allow me to angle the monitor (on the left) and it sucks. The quality is not for gaming but its fine for a beginner. I suggest getting something a couple of bucks more expensive for better quality.

When ordered, I specified it should be shipped in Amazon packaging. It was not. It came in the manufacturers box for all the world to see. Sometimes you want to hide items of value. I proceeded to assemble the screen to the stand, but only one (1) screw would thread into the bracket on the back of the screen, the remaining screw was improperly manufactured: there were no beginning threads on the screw. Fortunately, I have tap & die sets and was able to re-thread the screw (4mm x 0.7 pitch). If one did not have the proper tools one could seek out very good hardware store to find a replacement screw, or go through the process of returning the entire thing. Either way it would be needless aggravation.. Then came the power cable: too short. It would not reach from the tower to the monitor, so I had to re-use the old power cable from the previous monitor. Were not done yet. This monitor came with only an HDMI cable, no VGA cable. The HDMI cable is 5 feet long (measured @ 60). The cable needed to be seven (7) feet in length. I could have moved the tower closer to the desktop where the monitor sits, but that would have involved moving several large, heavy pieces of furniture (an oak file cabinet, an oak desktop/file cabinet with hutch). Or I could have ordered a longer HDMI cable: this would have to be a ten (10) foot cable - go read the reviews of 10 HDMI cables and youll see why this was not a viable option. So, there I go, once again, having to use one of the old monitors cables: this time the VGA cable. So far this monitor works very well. Bright. Good color rendering. Good refresh rate. No problems with the monitor per-se. The niggling problems are with the hardware & accessories.

Works well. Its a huge upgrade over the TV I been using for years as a monitor. And I bought 2 of these. My only issue is the onboard speakers are horrendous. I bought these in hopes to make a full replacement for my TV, which I use its speakers as well. But, then again, I bought these for my computer to get a nicer setup for gaming. So Ill just get better speakers. The only thing I want to warn folks about the most is the one thing I seen from others. Make sure you go into display settings and change the refresh rate to 75 hertz. Regardless if its Windows, Mac, or Linux, it wont automatically change to that...despite getting the information for this monitor.

I ordered this same monitor back in 2020 and I thought that the monitor would be the same size or a similar size to other one to match but it is not. It is about half inch smaller than the other monitor and this is the slim version without the additional excess frame. Also, the monitor doesnt raise up, so I placed a board underneath to match my other monitors. Other than that, the monitor has good clarity, does the basics well and setup was easy.

hdmi1.4 should be able to handle 1080p @ 75hz, but the option isnt there. It only shows up when using DP. That said, its a little bright, but settings allow adjusting this. The cost is nice and i like sceptre. This is an update a/o 30DEC22: This is the 12th sceptre monitor ive purchased, starting back in 2003 and obviously I like them. I dont use them for gaming or tv, but for many other things. The issue now is that sceptre is not changing model numbers. For example, I bought my daughter this monitor, from this link about 5 years ago, and it was an E225W-19203RT. I then bought her another 22 from this very same link showing youve ordered this 3 times before and got a slightly different looking box with model E225W-19203RT. The new monitor was almost completely frameless, it was quite beautiful, but it didnt match the old one, so we repurposed the old and I ordered another 22 from this very same link, 5 days after the last. We got a... you guessed it, E225W-19203RT, but it was the same look/design of the one from 5 years ago! Ive since put in a replacement request to see what happens, but the issue is clearly that the model numbers arent changing, but the physical unit is. Buyer beware While I didnt take a picture of the latest shipped monitor, its because im shipping it back, but it looks 100% like the old one.

I bought this monitor as an additional screen for my home workstation. I have three monitors at work, and wanted a similar set-up at home for telecommuting. The picture quality is excellent. I read mostly WORD and PDF documents all day, and I find the clarity of the words and images to be crisp and very easy to read. The colors for work situations are more than adequate, although since Im not a gamer, I cannot comment on how well it compares to other screens for those purposes. The footprint on my computer desk is small and not a bother, and I find it to be quite impressive for the price, as I agonized over how much I wanted to spend for extra screens. I rolled the dice on this one, since the reviews were all over the place, and I feel it is a real winner so far. I hope to use it heavily in the years to come. The set-up and adjustment buttons are easy to use, there are additional USB and other ports if needed, and the edge around the exterior of the screen is not intrusive or oversized at all.
