> 3 dayI just got into the realm of building a PC and a friend recommended this to me as a starter monitor. I read a lot of reviews saying it came damaged, or that it was broken, or had a faulty base. My monitor came in great condition and was packaged properly. The base to the monitor is kind of wobbly so keep that in mind but as long as youre not slamming on your desk consistently you should be okay. Screen quality is great and I havent seen any dead pixels so I feel its a great starter monitor for gaming or anyone getting into the PC world

> 3 dayWell it’s not great and it’s not totally horrible. Sorry for the back and forth but the monitor is fulfilling the purpose I bought it for. You can’t expect this thing to be as great as an Samsung, Asus, etc. My work from home monitor replacement, yes I bought it myself because the company supplied 20” is way too small and old. This monitor works for desktop applications, and it’s so-so. I had one stuck pixel as did my best friend who followed suite in buying one too. Needs some tweaking but works great for my work needs. I thought about returning it over the one pixel but in reality the price and waiting another 2-3 weeks to receive a replacement not worth it with the Covid-prime 2weeks instead of 2 days shipping. Now for my other use, this work from home setup is a spare computer and if the wife takes my main game box I have a fall back. This monitor is horribly fuzzy and washed out in gaming. For the record I have only tried overwatch with a freesync compatible RX 550 4gb card ( it’s a dell tower not my ryzen 5 with 32gb ram and SSD drives upstairs). So I know there’s a big difference but the image and colors can’t hold a candle to my acer 24.5” 75hz monitor with my game box. Does it work, yes absolutely well enough I can ignore the above and enjoy a game. If you want size, cost, and don’t care to game on this monitor it’s decent for the price. If you plan to game on it, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Unless you care more about size & price and can deal with it and the potential of a stuck/dead pixel you may get too. Nick

> 3 dayThe picture quality is awesome, especially for the price of the TV. The audio isnt very good, but Ive grown to expect that with sceptre tvs, great price and picture quality in exchange for meh audio quality. its a very easy fix by just plugging in a different speaker, though. I was surprised and confused when I realized this TV lacks compatibility with any TV remote, so I have to get up to shut it off, adjust volume, or go on different inputs. Its never mentioned in the description or on the box. Its very weird oversight, I didnt even know there were tvs made to not work with remotes.

23-12-2024For just over a hundred bucks these are the best monitors Ive used. You get a nice bit of gear here for not a lot of money. Pros; +Cost is lower than low +Build of monitor itself is great (Ill mention the stand in the cons below) +has AMD Freesync +75Hz is not bad for people that dont need to go nuts with gaming. I play casually and dont want to spend a lot for a feature I dont need. +Has vesa mounts built in to the monitor, Very convenient (especially at this price) +Fast shipping, with NO dead pixels(I bought 2 for myself, and a third for a friend, and had no damage whatsoever). People writing bad reviews mustve gotten unlucky I suppose. +Bezels are surprisingly very discrete. +27 inches of screen are the sweet spot for me, any bigger and youre turning your head to look. Any smaller and you run out of space to work with. Cons; -The stand is awful, wobbly as heck, but if you have a sturdy desk, or plan to mount them its not even an issue. -5ms response is a bit lackluster with all the rest of the features it has, but for the price I Still cant complain. -Not really sure why they have a vga input instead of a Dvi input... I havent used vga in over a decade. But glad they included two Hdmis to make up for it. -screen bleeds quite a bit when black, but I personally dont care but its a con to most so Im including it. -Dont use the built in speakers unless you have too, they are exactly how bad youd expect. I tested them just for kicks. No bueno. Overall this is is worth the money, chances are if youre looking at budget monitors, you dont truly need anything more. This will work for everyday use. From basic photo editing, gaming, and watching movies, to just having a bigger screen for all your tasks. Either way. I like it. Hope this helps!

> 3 dayThis monitor is hard to love due to some glaring issues with its quality control. That being said, its a budget conscious monitor that has a MSRP of $129.99 so you have to be realistic with your expectations. Ill go through my experience for you from start to finish. The Pros - It is 75hz refresh rate capable. 5ms response time for those who need it. Its light weight and very thin. (Great for mounting) It has 2 HDMI connectors. The version that I got uses a 12V DC port (Useful for cable management). Built in speakers a plus if you have limited space to work with. (Like using the monitor at a work station / terminal) The Cons - Out of 2 ordered, 1 had a dead pixel. The speakers are not only muffled, but extremely quiet. Stand is extremely light weight for a 27 inch monitor. 12V 3A AC/DC adapter looks really suspect (like the ones you get with LED strips) and probably will fail over time. VESA specs are incorrect in the manual. (They recommend M4 12mm screws). 1 year only warranty that requires you to send it back to them on your dime for service. My biggest gripe so far (dead pixel or not) is that the VESA mounting holes on the rear of the monitor are extremely shallow. I needed to special order a set of M4 8mm screws in order to get it to attach to one of my dual monitor brackets. VESA standards list 100 x 100 hole patterns to use a standard M4 10mm screw. My 8mm screws that I ordered barely fit into my bracket with a washer. I would assume the holes drilled in the monitor for the screws are 4mm or 5mm deep at best. The manual recommends using 12mm M4 screws! That would leave about 8mm or 7mm jutting out in the air. Most VESA mounting hardware will only include 10mm, 12mm and 25mm M4 screws for 100 x 100 hole patterns. So in case you want to mount this monitor to any bracket, make sure to have some shorter M4 screw sizes ready. Negatives aside, its an extremely attractive monitor for the home office or the kids (teenager or college bound). You can forgive a lot of the imperfections if this is going to be attached to something you dont stare at constantly. Probably also good for grass roots e-sports tournament organizers who need a larger screen real estate but dont want to break the bank and arent too worried about ultra quality. 5ms response time and 75hz refresh rate is good for most games except ultra competitive FPS. This is going to be a dynamic review in that I will update my experience as I own the monitor longer. I have a replacement coming from Amazon for the dead pixel afflicted one I got initially and well see how that goes. Sceptres policy on dead pixels is that they need 5 or more to be considered defective enough for warranty service. Worst yet, you have to ship the item back to them at your expense. So I highly recommend while youre in the Amazon 30 day return window to put the monitor through its paces and see if its the right one for you without any major problems. Once its out of that window, youll be at the mercy of Sceptres RMA department and will probably need to pay $22 bucks (or more) to send it back to fix a $129.99 (or less) monitor.

> 3 dayBest bang for the buck at this size. Played COD: MW2 on this and could barely tell a difference compared to my BENQ Gaming monitors. Speaker sound isnt the greatest, but most people use external speakers or headsets these days.

> 3 dayEverything except the speakers was good. Very easy to set up. Wish the buttons were a little more clear on the back of the screen.

> 3 dayoverall not bad value for the money, but now I do need to buy speakers - the sound quality is awful (I try to appreciate the nostalgic resemblance of 90s PCs, but...).
