I love all Schmincke watercolors...my “go to paint” choice. The colors and quality are the best!

compact, convenient, and a must have for traveling artists. I have not used liquid oxgall before but after this, I see little reason to try. I just do a few swipes with a slightly damp brush and mix it in with whatever color I am using and I am pretty much guaranteed to have a perfectly smooth wash of paint. It works well with granulating pigments, I have found, the pigments in Daniel Smiths moonglow has a tendency to separate as it dries if its too wet. With the oxgall the pigments stayed combined and dried evenly. I feel I should also point out that the pans from Schmincke is slightly shorter than the standard half pans I have. However, they do not taper at the bottom. The difference is not huge or even a problem, but it is noticeable if you have a mix of pans in your palette.

Magnificent quality, Schmincke is in a class of its own.

I was surprised at how nice the silver color is...great purchase.

This paint is professional quality, however there are much better sepia shades out there then this one, mine was very badly cracked and flaky when I received it,and compared to my other sepia colours it just isnt the best. I recommend royal talens Rembrandts sepia instead.

I exclusively use Schmincke Horadam watercolors because I love the reliable quality, high quality pigments, and workability they offer. There are many beautiful and vibrant colors available, and I have built my pallette over several years. Using pans rather than tubes means that I can travel with my paints in my carry-on. I definitely recommend this brand.
