So far, great! I bought two of these for a simple server backup that I rotate out. I chose these due to the fact that I will be bringing them back and forth and leaving in a backpack sometimes in order to provide an offline and offsite backup for my companies server data. This is a secondary backup, so simple USB drives is all I wanted to deal with. I very much like the promise of durability and the package does seem very good for that, as all 4 corners are rubberized nicely. I also like that the USB 3.0 cable is USB A on each end, rather than MicroUSB, which I have found to be less durable for the always plugging in and unplugging uses. I think that full-size in this case makes more sense. The other, and probably most important, reason that I chose this device is the 3 year warranty. That beats the other guys 2 year warranty that just bit me.

I purchased this for my granddaughter to use with her laptop. I needed something extremely durable, compact, & have a way to keep the cord with it so it didnt get lost. We all know how teenagers are! This has been perfect! Believe me shes not careful with it, yet it hasnt been phased! It was the best money Ive spent on her this year!!

I like the rubber bumpers it has. I hope they work the 1st time I drop it.

This is one of the best purchases I have made. I bought this for my wife’s MacBook Air due to the paltry 128GB which this immediately alleviated that. What was a pleasant surprise is that I can also use this with my iPad Pro 2020. It took a good minute or two for the Files app to see it but it worked and is able to read and write files to it. The speeds are not very fast but I’m also not using high capacity files like 8k files but it is able to transfer 1080p and short 4K videos rather fast (maybe due to HEIC on iOS). For the price, I don’t care if I’m waiting an hour as many faster EHDs with far less storage are twice the price of this HD. I don’t remember having to format it to APFS (Mac/iOS) since the specs say this is NTFS but if you are using a Mac, use your Disk Utility and erase the disk to APFS so that it works for your Apple products. If you’re more well-rounded with your tech and also want to use it for PC use ExFAT for better interoperability. Excellent value for 2TBs BTW this is an HDD not SSD, I can hear it spin and whir when it is in use.

As advertised. Connects via USB, if you can live with that.

Great so far. Fast transfers, feels solid, the attached cord is perfect, and keeps you from having to hunt down yet another cable or have another one flopping about in a drawer. Its small size isnt an advertising focus, but this thing is slightly larger than my wallet. I havent dropped it yet, so I cant speak to that, but it feels a thousand times more durable than my older external HD, which feels like its on the verge of falling apart just transferring it from one spot to another.

The storage capacity is done well enough; it has the typical nearly 10%-15% of the 2GB occupied by system data or whatnot. The Tech support gets 5 stars because I have yet to need their assistance with how well this works. Data flows quickly and constantly. The portability of this device is amazing. it is the perfect size for travel, and the fact that the connector cable secures perfectly to the casing is a great feature. I never have to worry about damaging the drive or loosing the cable. Speaking of the casing, it in itself is quite a nice feature. lightweight, and it protects the drive fairly well; I have not done much to test the extent of the durability because i do not want to intentionally inflict damage to my drive, however, from just regular everyday usage, the protective casing is a nice and secure feeling which leaves everything working perfectly fine.

Still working a few years later and a few years late for this review. I Dont like to review products, but I have time to waste. Better choices out there, but not as reliable.

We bought this drive to store our new business startup files on as our laptop HD was getting full. The day we received the drive we partitioned it, did a Time Machine backup on one partition and moved the IRS and other files for the upstart of our new business onto the other partition of the drive. (I would not have done this but my other HDs were full and I couldnt do a Time Machine backup on them. Wow, what a mistake that was. We cleaned up the Macs hard drive to make room for new work. Out of the blue an error the USB device was using too much energy showed up and we had no access to the drive anymore. We tried everything including plugging it into 3 other computers. Same error comes up. I contacted SP and I sent back the drive to see if they can recover my files. After 2 week, they were unsuccessful and sent back my dead drive plus a replacement. This drive failed within 4 hrs. Im now desperately trying to recover those files. I have another SP drive for 2 yr now and no issues with it.
