Greater than one weekWasted purchase. Bought these as the legally required entry sensors for our pool. When the pool construction was finished and I went to install them, found they werent compatible with my base station. In this regard simplisafe did a terrible job of notifying customers that this technology is not backwards compatible.

> 3 dayIve had systems from ADT and local vendors in the past. Their entry sensors were just little magnets embedded in the door & frame. Invisible. These are quite large by comparison, not attractive, and dont work with our doors that have uneven (not flat) moulding around them. I really wish the company had other options more like the ones we had before. Considering returning the system or using it without the entry sensors.

Greater than one weekThese are everything they are supposed to be: easy to install, slim, not visually unattractive, and they work well as an entry sensor. However, the sticky tape that comes with it is completely substandard. What no one told us is after spending the time to install them, after a few days and few weeks they “simpli” FALL OFF. While this is disappointing in itself, the bigger issue is that if your alarm is on - and they fall off, it WILL trigger the alarm. This would be terrifying when we’re sleeping and very unsettling when we’re not home (or able to get to the house when the alarm goes off). The cops would go to the house, etc. I wish this possibility had been mentioned in the simplisafe set up instructions for when we set these up the first time - it would have saved us a lot of energy worrying and removing all of them and then reinstalling in a hurry (before one triggers the alarm). Heres what you do: use the screws that come with the sensors. If you’re like us and don’t want to screw into your wood or walls, buy a strong tape like Gorilla brand or use silicon to attach them. You can also place the sensors at the bottom of your windows resting on the windowsill so theres less of a chance they will fall off (we had them at the top so gravity pulled them down!). Shame on you simplisafe for missing this very important bit of information for installation. Now we’ve soured on the brand and feel anxious when arming our system versus feeling safe.

> 3 dayIn August, I replaced my Ring security system with SimpliSafe on the recommendation of a friend. I installed the system to protect my daughter and my wife when I am not at home. Since then, the system has been nothing but an abject disappointment. An example: It has gone offline 5 times in the last 6 weeks --- each time, requiring a phone call to their tech services number to get the system back online. I have since asked for a refund of my purchases. Their answer: We dont provide refunds, but you can keep calling tech services! #sheesh I dont feel like my family is safe at all, given that my system goes down pretty much once a week. I also dont feel like their system is simple at all, given that even after phone call after phone call to tech services, they cant resolve the issue. So, be warned: SimpliSafe is neither Simple or Safe --- and they wont provide you a refund, even after their products fail time and time again over the course of several months.
