Greater than one weekIf you use Mac, beware! It is insanely annoying to use this adapter on a mac. Not only do you need an adapter that isnt included, but you also need a windows computer to install the newest firmware because without the firmware macos wont recognize the drive at all! i work in the software field, so im technologically literate, and even I was annoyed to do this. Stray away

Greater than one weekIf you want a fast power efficient drive this is it. I installed this in my laptop and it gave me much improved battery life over other drives and not only that is just as fast in most ways as many Gen 4 drives I have tested it against you can’t really tell the difference except when booting up and shutting down is slightly slower still this is one of the fastest drives out there. Runs a little hotter under load but does not thermal throttle very easily. The 2 TB version seems to be just as fast and power efficient as the 1 TB I also have owned. If this drive is on sale especially 150$ for the 2 TB it’s definitely worth getting over other drives.

> 3 dayI put this in a external SSD howsing and connected with USB 3. I discovered you cant update the Firmware if the SSD is external, the only way is to plug it into a mother board.

> 3 dayThis little guy is FAST, the fastest Ive used on PCI-E. I use it for running LaunchBox, Kodi and Chrome portable (spoofing a Samsung smart TV for YouTube on tv). I went from a Sata3 mechanical drive to this and the wait times seriously vanished. Def buy this
