Stanwood Needlecraft Large Metal Yarn/Fiber/Wool/String Ball Winder - 10 oz

have only had it two days but so far it is doing a great job ...the gears are a little tight but hopefully it will loosen up just a little so its easier for me to use..i would reckamend this product to anyone....i was looking for a wooden one but the price was to high for me as i am on a fixed income....then i found the one and i LOVE it..please excuse any misspelled words

Sturdy, quality built, easy to use and assemble. Have recommended my friends to put it on their christmas list.

Im concerned about in the long run with plastic gears but so far ran regular yarn and bulky yarn through it no problem. Will make 1 ball out of 3 skeins of Caron supersoft brand.

This yarn winder is amazing and easy to use. The grey yarn is from this yarn winder and the white yarn is from a much cheaper version. This is worth the money!

I can finally get my yarns and threads organized NEATLY. AND they are easily usable. I can neatly wind an hank of yarn is under 2 minutes! I LOVE this winder!

This unit is priced much closer to the bottom of the class but performs like the top of class. How can you beat that?

I am really impressed by the quality of Stanwoods winder, I didnt really expect that. I havent used it yet, and if ithe performance is disappointing Ill report that too, but its solid and heavy and the movement is smooth as silk. So far it seems very well constructed, and according to a few of the women in my knitting group who also bought one, its just as good as I think it is. Thank you Stanwood! ;}

Love, love, love, my new Stanwood ball winder. Easy to assemble. Easy to use. Makes perfect cakes every time. I have put my new winder through its paces in the last few days winding dozens of skeins of yarns purchased at our recent local Fiberfest. It is as easy with lace weight yarn as it is with bulky and everything in between. I would recommend it to anyone who has struggled, as I have, with the cheaper models of ball winders. The Stanwood yarn winder is well worth the price. Wish I had owned one years ago.

This yarn winder works great! It is so much better than my previous two (plastic) yarn winders. I can wind yarn so fast and it still doesnt slip off the winder; even really soft yarn.
