> 24 hourMy African grey loves his toy. I have ordered many over the years. So many in fact, that what he doesn’t chew up, I take apart and combine into yet another chewable toy!

> 24 hourMy Greenwing loved it - gone in one week - the connecting chains can easily be broken by a big Macaw, but they can also be recycled to make new toys. The colors look great in the cage - also works for Cockatoos and Amazons. The rings on the arms allow for multiple configurations. The sticks and beads can go quickly, but the large block slows my fellow down some - though he busts the chains and the block drops quickly. If you have a Macaw, you will understand!

> 24 hourIts very colorful and a good healthy size. But this is not for hardcore chewers unless you are wealthy. I have a blue-and-gold macaw who is NOT a hardcore chewer, or he would have annihilated this in a few hours. He will chew dedicatedly for twenty minutes or so and go back to preening or blathering on about whatever ( he mumbles a lot). So this lasted him about four days until all that was left was the master red block in the middle with a bunch of chains hanging down, looking like some manner of bondage toy. The small pieces on the chains are definitely the softer kind of wood, the kind that splits and shreds easily. It was great fun for him and he made a mighty pile of splinters that was actually amazing to see, and it lasted longer than if the arms were rope instead of chain ( I cant buy rope arm toys because the first thing he does is bite all the arms off, rendering everything that was hanging useless. So all in all, Ill give it three stars for being great fun the four days he had it. However, for the price, I cannot afford to give him a new Beakasaurus every week. If they went down in price dramatically OR were in future made out of harder woods (heh heh) I would happily buy again. If you have a wimpy chewer or a smaller parrot, this may work for you. Large bird owners/assertive chewers, move on.

> 24 hourI found myself going through these too fast, so I replaced the main board with a hardwood. My gray has trouble chewing through the oak, but if you have a big macaw you might want to think about a square of solid steel plate or aluminum! You can get those from a local machine shop. Then just re-use the chains with home made blocks to chew. Buy a bell to add to the bottom of the chains to help keep their attention. It helps to put a quick link through the bottom of the chains to prevent the chains from winding up all the way onto the bottom of the cage as your bird chews up the blocks of wood. At this point, Ive started making replacement blocks myself out of 2x4s I just drill a hole down the middle and slice off blocks, put them in a bowl of food dye overnight to color them, and buy round beads in bulk to put between them. For the top 6x6 block, I use oak that my gray cannot chew through and dyed that red just like the pine one of the standard item (you may need to use a solid metal top block if you have a Hyacinth or some other giant strong bird!). Good design. In short, its great for my African Gray. My Pionus parrot finds the blocks too big and wont play with it.

> 24 hourmade well but wish it would have lasted longer then 3 days Macaws will chew it up very quickly but I think the price is to high for a wooden toy . I have not giving it to my Blue and Gold yet he still has the XL blocks and he is going on 3 weeks and still has a long way to go so yes theses bird toys are worth the money they made just for them so they wont get hurt or sick from the paint. very happy with every toy that I have ordered .

> 24 hourI love this toy for the mere fact that its held together by chain throughout the entire thing. Not rope or leather ties that my cockatoo can untie so that the wood ends up on the bottom of his cage untouched. He has a tendency to leave the wood alone if its not hanging for him to chew on. It would only be better if the wood pieces were bigger sized so that it could last longer. I have a hard time finding wood toys that will last for my cockatoo and he gets through these smaller pieces in no time. The positive is that as he chews it up and it falls to the bottom of his cage tray it helps to absorb the smell of his dropping excellently. I will definitely order this toy for him again in the future.

> 24 hourThis is a well designed toy. The wood blocks were just the right size for my bird to chew to her hearts delight. A chain holds everything together. Unlike some toys that are held together by rope which can be chewed off right away and then the toy disintegrates prematurely. It took my chewer a couple of months to go through this toy and I will buy it again. Sure its not the cheapest but you do get what you pay for.

> 24 hourThe toy came with one entire chain of blocks missing. Since I paid $43.00 I decided to replace it. I know my macaw will chomp it into toothpicks in about one day but I buy cheap baby blocks to replace the wood and use the same chain provided. It is not as big as the photo depicts. When I get my new toy I will update my review. Right now I cant give more than two stars because it was defective but Im sure when the new toy arrives my macaw will love it. I will update my rating at that time. Update: I got the replacement in three days. It was a fantastic macaw toy. All the parts were there. He loved it. This is s good toy to add more blocks to. I recycle the chains with new blocks and beads. I give this toy five stars.

> 24 hourThis toy I purchased for my Blue & Gold who is 17, so I have been purchasing toys for a very long time now. Whenever I purchase a toy for my Macaw it is ALWAYS made with hard wood or very large wood pieces. This toy had not only smaller blocks but not hardwood, I placed this in my macaws cage and it was gone except for three blocks. I hated to waste the $42. I spent on this so I located actual hard wood blocks with holes drilled in them and I will replace the blocks on this so it is not a total loss. African grays or Amazons could this and it would last for at least 6 months, but not for average Macaw who has such strength in their bite, my parrot cracked each piece of wood in half like a little nut. Very disappointed but hoping I can salvage it with the new blocks I ordered.
