This hinge design enabled us to increase a door opening by almost 1 1/4” by just changing the hinges for this style thus enabling more room for a wheelchair to pass through, unrestricted.

These are absolute wonders if you have someone that ends up in a wheelchair and cant get thru the doorways due to the door, which was my situation when I got home from a double above knee amputation. I couldnt get into my bedroom door :( so it had to come off the hinges :(

Changing the fulcrum, this makes doorways wider. It’s very difficult to explain to anyone, and even hard to take a photo of. But the bottom line is that it makes doorways wider and it is fantastic for many situations

I use a wheelchair and in going thru doorways i hit the side. Once these were installed it was as if there was no door,l I could enter and exit with room to spare. I shared this with several support groups.
