Ive got kids ranging from age 4 to 24, so finding a game we can all enjoy is--well, a bit of a challenge. Tenzi is that game! With the little boys, we can set the number in advance and they dont have to try to decide which number to roll for (because invariably that either takes them forever, or they choose the wrong one). When just older people are playing, we can use the Stealzi rules and have a totally crazy good time! One round can last two or three minutes, or we can play 15 rounds over a half hour. Its good for set recognition skills for the little boys--both in recognizing the number set shown on each die, and in recognizing and remembering which number belongs to the set they are rolling for. Theres no waiting for turns (as good as that is for them, its nice to have a game where they dont have to practice patience), and its fast and short enough for the table-game-hating Dad to tolerate for a few rounds.

Used these at a party--they were a blast. Played lots of different ways. Nothing very hard. It was with all adults.

This is a new to us game. It has quickly become our second most favorite family night game (Can’t unseat Monopoly!). There are so many variations of ways to play this dice game, you’ll never tire of it. I recommend getting something such as 77 Ways To Play Tenzi, to complement this game.
