> 3 dayRight off the bat this movie had my attention and while there were some parts that made me want to skip forward I didnt. Amazing movie with the WRONG title. I saw that critics hated it and Sean Connery god rest his soul also hated it then its exactly the kind of movie I want to watch. After scanning thru all the free movies for the zillionth time and not seeing a singe one I want to watch or not seen before thru the corner of my eye I was that this movie had Sean Connery in it and so I gave it a go. Because of the title I always skipped right over it. The Gentleman in the title suggested the movie was saturated if feminism. When in fact it has some because the one main female character had extraordinary power that made he practically invincible but then again a lot of the males were the same or darn close.

> 3 dayA fun movie thats even better when its free on Prime, with literary characters posing as an 1800s version of The Avengers. The plot is predictable, but enjoyable since all or most of the characters are directly from from literature of that time with the Invisible Man, Allan Quartermain, Dr. Jekyl transforming into a pre-Hulk Mr. Hyde, Mina Harker being the female vampire character, the immortal Dorian Gray, Captain Nemo with his Nautilus, and you get the drift. A light souffle at best.

> 3 dayI loved Alan Moores League of the Extraordinary Gentlemen, both volume I and II in fact as Moore crosses over famous literary figures. I think this is some of his best work, definetly up there with Watchmen, V for Vendetta, From hell and Top Ten. Many expected to see a straight comic to movie adaptation. Unfortunately that is often impossible. Movies and comics are separate art forms. In fact the only thing the comic and movie have in common is really the premise. Personally I view the movie and the comics separate. I liked it alot and thought it was very well done. Many people especially the mainstream audience that saw it for the summer blockbuster were dissapointed. It got brutal reviews but who listens to the critics anyway. In order to get the movie you have to know who the characters are.I didnt like that they added Sawyer but its was still a great movie. The script was written by Comic writer James Robinson ( if you havent read Star Man you are missing on of the best comics ever written). Even Kevin ONeil (the comics artist)liked it. Anyway it was certanly better than From hell (another movie based on Moores work.

> 3 dayIts cheesy I admit but its at least entertaining. The action is a bit fantastic and unbelievable at times but these kind of movies you should expect that some what. I like the various characters and wish to know more of each of their back stories more. Its worth the watch if you got the time and like war/ history/ fantasy/ hero films.
