The Overtaking: (The Overtaking Series)

From the first page, this is one of the most riveting science fiction works Ive read in a long time. Sounds corny, but I really couldnt stop reading until Id finished. People are involved in a major planet-wide deception and are losing their freedoms. Memories are re-wired repeatedly. Just when the main characters are discovering more of the truth about how theyve been deceived, theyre caught and have their memories wiped/changed. Trusted people turn out to be villains who are robbing this planet and turning it into a wasteland. I cant wait until the next book comes out! :)

This book is without a doubt a fantastic read for any adult. Although not usually into this type of story (more of a who dun it....loved her book Not what she seems.) This is about romance and mystery with a twist of the supernatural. A good book for all!!! I truly appreciate it when an author can write a book that is not using profanity in every other sentence. The story has teens and adults in the storyline, I truly be happy to share this with my fifteen year old granddaughter. Thanks Victorine for a wonderful and entertaining time!

This was an awesome sci-fi novel! I raced through it! I loved the premise and the twists and the characters. However, I just found out it was written 11 years ago and the rest of the series obviously hasn’t followed. I’m devastated!

I bought the book last year at a conference and just got around to reading it...it only took three evenings. Once I started the book, I didnt want to put it down. The concept of an alien invasion taking place where the people are abducted, memories changed and placed into a dome to live their lives. As the book progresses, we discover that the earthlings have various powers and they are not on earth. Later there are other discoveries...no need for a spoiler alert. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys science fiction, human interaction and a story with enough twists and turns to keep you turning the page from start to finish.

I didnt really expect any of that. I suggest not reading the summary before opening this or any other book

I enjoyed this book. It kept me interested. It was a good story, very imaginative. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, and the sooner the better.

A sophisticated thriller complex but easy to follow. It takes a while to figure out what and where the action is happening. And just because it has some romance in it this is not a romance book. Its pure Sci-Fi. A real page turner.
