Cds were mostly scratched. Could not watch an entire episode without interruption or having to forward to a different chapter. The rating at amazon when I made this purchase was acceptable. However, the cds I received were NOT acceptable as watching them has been a real drag. Would not purchase from this vendor again.

Great show. Im sorry that it took me this long to finally watch the full series. Highly recommended. One of the best TV series EVER.

Great writing and acting. Poor transmission. show was constantly dropping out, especially at 8:30 PST. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were the worst.

Each season gets better through season 4. Gets wild near the end. While 5 is still great its definitely the slow move down the hill.

Smart, funny, yet serious. Bears no resemblance to most current offerings, making this even more of a standout relative to current over-hyped offerings having no intelligent content.

(No spoilers in review)I cannot say this is the best series of the West Wing. The first series is the best, but this sure is close. Ive seen series 1, 2, 3 and 4 - All are unbelievably great. This is better than series 3, it seems more focused and has some great story ideas. All the characters are up to their usual great standards and with some new ones added.

The last season of totally phenomenal writing. Aaron Sorkin, the lead writer for the show (previously of Sports Night, if Im not mistaken), is still writing in this season, providing the perfect mix of humor and political savy. I think the remaining seasons after he left become more dry and while still politically relevant, they are much less entertaining because later writing forgets to bring the funny. Aaron, come back to the show! I savor this last season of witty banter and smart thorough analysis of the issues!

Brand new great

Best, by far, series ever. The acting was sensational, the suspense was wrenching, edge of your seat hard to catch your breath, just when you thought everything was set right. The characters were built right in front of you as you were following the story. The writing was miraculous, each episode was gripping. I havent enjoyed TV as much as I did watching this series.
