> 24 hourBecause of in-grown toenail surgery, and also because of an accident where the nail momentarily tore off the nail bed, I have one toenail that is gnarly and very thick. Regular nail clippers have a very tough time getting the job done, which is why I was interested in this set. Im so glad I got it because both the included clippers cut the nail with ease. The podiatrist toe nail clippers are industrial grade and super sharp. I really cant imagine any toe nail they couldnt clip. The wide jaw clippers also worked well for my one challenging nail. While both of these are specialty items meant for problem nails, they work fine with regular nails too. Theyre just so well made that I believe they will last a lifetime if taken care of properly. All if this (both the clippers, file and cleaning accessories come in a pouch thats perfect for storage or travel. I would definitely recommend this!

> 24 hourIf you have extra thick toenails you know the problem with normal nail clippers: They just arent up to the task. You try to clip your nail and often the clipper itself will break instead. The hinge and the metal used in those cheap clippers just arent up to the task. Dollar-store clippers? Forget it. I have learned that lesson more than once. Bummer. But even if your clipper can cut without breaking, you often have to exert a lot of pressure to get the cut to happen, and sometimes the nail breaks in the process. Ouch. There are two common types of thick nail clippers. One looks like pliers. Another is more of a fulcrum design. Ive used both, and I prefer the fulcrum design, but they are both very efficient and hold up to thick nails. This kit contains BOTH types, plus a metal finishing file, and a metal cleaning poker you can use to clean under the nail. Theres also a zippered travel pouch that holds it all. The two thick nail clippers in this kit are super sharp and cut through even really thick nails like theyre butter. The one thing about these efficient and sharp clippers is that they are not only great at going through nails but, if you are not careful, they are also great at going through skin. I found it a little bit tricky for some nails to ensure that the clipper was only cutting nail and not skin as well. Which is to say, you need to be a bit more careful with these than the clippers youre used to. This mostly just amounts to taking an extra bit of time to make sure the clipper is aligned with your nail and not the surrounding cuticle. This kit costs more than what youd find at the dollar store, but it works FAR better than what you get at the dollar store, too. This would make a fine gift for anyone who had trouble cutting their nails, and I like that its one of the better kits that contains multiple clipper types. Ive paid about the same price for kits that only include half the functionality.

> 24 hourI wanted this nail clipperset because I usually get a lot of ingrown toenails and this set had everything in it to help me take care of my feet. Let me say first off....THIS SET IS SHARP!! They go through a nail with very little pressure and it cuts them cleanly too. The cuticle cutters are a little large for precise cutting but not terrible. I really love this set! I highly recommend it!

> 24 hourThere are a lot of things you dont spend much time thinking about as a young person that become essential to daily comfort 40-50 years later. This seems to have emerged as the theme of my last 4-5 reviews -- guess Im feeling my age this month. Anyway, toenail care is one of those things. The cheap drugstore clippers you used for decades just dont cut it anymore when you reach a certain age. You have to upgrade to a set like this. Two pieces in this kit are essential. The clippers are wider, sharper, and with better leverage than standard clippers. They make quick work of even thick nails, and they have the leverage to do it without requiring a lot of finger pressure. Theyre also less likely to split nails. The pliers-style device is good for trimming the sides of nails. The off-angle design lets you tackle the sides of nails without twisting your arms and legs into pretzels to get the right angle. The file is the type of cheap metal file that comes with kits like this -- better to order some good glass files for your toenail care. The fourth doohickey looks like it could come in handy some day, but Im not really sure how to use it, so that someday is not today. The price for this kit is OK given that you get both the regular-style clippers and the pliers-style clippers. The package design is a bit quirky. Bottom line: This is a good set of essential tools for toenail care for the no-longer-young crowd. Faster and safer than trying to get by with the old clipper you picked up in the drugstore years ago.

> 24 hourOh these work. Slices through my thick funky nails like butter. Im not showing you that though, haha. I usually just go for the slanted clippers like this one has. The straight clipper style is usually not strong enough, but I am pleased to say that they work great. Eiter clipper feel good in hand and provide enough pressure to cut down and through nails with ease. The dirt scoop (is there a proper name?) is very sturdy and durable. I use it to push cuticle back as well. I feel neutral on the nail file. Comes with a zippered carry case, tucked into a sturdy box. Holding up just fine in the short time I have been using them. I think you will be pleased too.

> 24 hourHaving reached my dotage and having discovered there are some disadvantages to this time of my life, I find one of them being a thickening of the toe nails. I have been searching (via many such sets of these things) for a answer to this problem. This is the only set of these tools I have been happy with and the beat all the others hands down. I could not be happier and recommend them to all.

> 24 hourIf you have any sort of toenail issues, or are into sports or activities which beat up your feet (Im an ultra/trailrunner and my feet are often destroyed), youll probably like these. Theyre SUPER sharp so be careful only cutting what you want to cut. I almost drew blood going a little too aggressive. I was even able to cut off some huge calluses on the shoe side (inner) of both my big toes and the larger clipper went through these thick, huge ones with no effort at all. Fortunately (or unfortunately? Ha!) Ill be using these quite often. Highly recommend!

> 24 hourThis set of clippers is very sharp. The black handles are comfortable to hold. The nail file works well. I have not found a use for the nail dig tool, but it looks well-made. The set comes in a nice pouch with a zipper. Overall, a nice upgrade for my old toenail clipper set. Ali Julia review Review of DEJLIG Nail Clippers for Thick Nails
