> 24 hourThese are absolutely perfect for the in between phase before handling bigger knives. My 5 year old absolutely loves that she has her own little set and can help cut produce more effectively. These work perfect on pretty much any fruit or veggie yet are soft enough to the touch that it’d be really hard to accidentally cut yourself.

> 24 hourI bought these for my granddaughter who is just turning 5. She loves to help prepare dinner and with supervision, these knives are perfect. They cut through foods like cucumbers and green beans easily and can slice grape tomatoes as well.

> 24 hourOur son has always helped in the kitchen and has become increasingly more curious to use knives. We purchased these so that he can practice with how to cut. He enjoys cutting up his apples, strawberries and chicken strips. Very effective and helpful in teaching him how to cut safely.

> 24 hourMy kids love the idea of helping me cook, so I purchased these so they can learn how to chop food. I was skeptical about it being able to cut food without hurting them, but these are knives where that is not an issue. They cut fruit and softer vegetables well, and my kids love being able to say that they cooked dinner rather than just stir a pot. What these knives do NOT do well is dicing or cutting harder vegetables (such as baby carrots or raw potatoes). The knives are meant for more slicing or chop/chunky cuts. If you want something diced or minced, these are too thick for that and would require the adult knife. With the harder vegetables, I usually have to cut it half way so that my kid thinks he cut it himself, otherwise it takes forever to actually cut. Works really well with vegetables like onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, though. Works well with fruit too, including ones with rind like oranges or lemons.

> 24 hourThese are really nice knives. They cut well through a lot of different foods (apples, carrots, watermelon and chicken). They have a nice grip with the different sizes. They are so much safer for children to use. We are starting to let our 4 year old cut things in the kitchen and this made it so much safer. I can run the blade over my hand and not get cut. Don’t get me wrong you could still cut yourself with it, but it takes a lot more pressure to do so. Very happy with these starter knives for my child.
