Even after reading the reviews and finding some of them with manufacturing issues, I am pleasantly surprised by this bags durability after dragging it all over Costa Rica for two weeks. This little bag is a powerhouse! And for about 40 bucks, Im stoked on the quality for what I paid. The luggage compartment is shockingly roomy, and even has the mesh pocket on the inside flap as well as the elastic security straps. I definitely over-packed, but as a carry-on, it worked really well. The outermost pockets on the front can be a little hard to maneuver in if youve over packed the main compartment, like I did, but still function well if you stuff everything into the pockes before zipping the luggage bay. The security straps on both outer sides are great for attaching extra items, like a towel or other small roll. I hung my oversized water bottle from them, as well as other quick-access items. The laptop pouch is nicely concealed and also padded for comfort. I used that space to keep my towel clean at the beginning of my trip. After 5 flights and I dont know how many bus trips and taxi rides, and many, many steps, I havent experienced any breaks or broken stitches. Also, it fit expertly in most overhead storage compartments on both plane and bus (not all busses). As heavy as the bag was (my fault for over-packing, and also moisture in everything from humidity), this bag really made my trip a breeze whereas other bulkier bags or rolling luggage might have been burdensome. **Updated** This bag has now also been to Turkey and Hawaii, both as a personal item or carry-on. If you dont over pack it, it will work as a personal item (unless youre flying Frontier, because they are regimental about putting your stuff in that stupid metal box that is supposed to simulate under-seat space. A year after purchase, still no breaks in the straps or zippers.

I Bought this backpack a month ago and have been using it for weekend trips and its fantastic, fits everything even a big towel and a pair of sneakers. The laptop compartment is very big,my 13 MacBook Pro fits perfectly even with a laptop sleeve. The bottle compartment doesnt use the space of the main compartment. The main reason for this purchase is to use it on flights, not tested yet but in a few weeks will be used for an international flight at American Airlines, it has 2 more inches that are required but hopefully wont have any problems, will update. Took a domestic flight, and nobody told me anything about the size of the backpack, even when it was packed; the only thing is that is very uncomfortable having it under the seat because it occupied almost all the space, and Im very short; it was a 3-hour flight but still very uncomfortable (add some pics) and in the international flight the space under the seat was a little bigger but was told to put it with the carry-ons because it looks very big. I think it is a good option to use it as a carry-on or not very packed so you can push it. Be careful with low-cost airlines you might have problems.

    Greater than one week

I wasnt sure I would like it but I use it all the time. Its very sturdy and keeps the rectangle shape even if not full. The zippers and seams are all strong and there is plenty of room. I especially love the large wet compartment. I throw my swimming clothes and towel in there all the time.

This travel bag is bigger than I thought it would be. Very sturdy, well made/put together.

I bought this for red eye standby flying because I needed a carry on I could pack everything in and still fit under the seat in front of me. This backpack did just that. It fit under the seat in front of me on every plane, big or small. It also was the perfect size for me packing 2 days worth of things in. It was fine for walking around the airport with but did get heavy. My husband commented that the straps could have more padding which would make it more comfortable. I thought this would be good for going exploring in town when I dont have anywhere to drop off my suitcase but no, it was was too heavy and bulky for that.

I used this as my only bag to carry my belongings on my recent trip. Must admit that I was nervous thinking I wouldnt make it…but it went through without paying an extra penny. However, I didn’t add a pair of sneakers because i wanted the bag to have certain flexibility to be able to push it through the bin. The other fact, is that I was carrying light clothing. Long sleeve shirts, shorts, jeans, t-shirt, rain jacket, make up, skincare, supplements and flip flops. A set of clothes for seven days. If you marked personal item and purchased no carryon nor bag, they will make you, prior to boarding, put your bag to the test.

This bag is deceptive in how much it holds! We love the backpack feature for easy carrying. Have now bought a total of three!

I got this for a trip because I wanted a suitcase that was a backpack and I didnt have to roll or carry in hand. This checked all the boxes. It fit more than enough stuff for a 4-6 day vacation and meets requirements for carry on. I like that it opens like a suitcase so you dont need to dig through the top for something at the bottom. Its a great travel suitcase

My bag has a bad odor to it. I am trying to air it out. That said, I love the design and functionality so far.
