I love most Travelpro products but this garment bag falls short in that there is no ability to hang it in the closet or on the door, which in my opinion pretty much completely negates the convenience a garment bag usually offers. Rather than having the ability to reach in and grab what you need when you need it, you have to completely unpack it upon arrival unless you dont mind constantly laying it on the bed and unzipping/rezipping it every time you need an item (aint happening). As pointed out by some, it appears this is because this bag features latches for suit hangers on both ends of the bag and thus some would end up upside down if you tried to hang it. However, how often do you really need to pack that many suits? For the vast majority of my trips two suits is enough, and thus hanging it would not have presented a problem. Even when more suits are demanded it would have been nice to have been able to remove the upside down suits and then be able to hang the bag. The fact that there is no hook to accommodate the vast majority of trips (at least for me) is quite a bit of a disappointment.

I was addicted to higher priced brands, but the reviews on this piece were good, so I went for it. Very sturdy and well put together. I have only used it twice, but I am impressed with the construction of this luggage.

I received the Travelpro Platinum Elite 50” Rolling Garment Bag timely and well packaged. This is a very solid, well-made durable garment bag. I just used it to fly from Cleveland to Hawaii and back. The back made that long trip and still literally looks brand new. It has many different garment pouches inside that are of different sizes. It was really easy to use this bag to pack for a 10-day trip. The bag also has a place to use hangers on both ends. That was nice because I used one end for shirts and the other for slacks. The bag has two wheels that allow it to roll very smoothly. It also has a very sturdy pull out luggage bag handle, that you can zip up when the bag is ready to load onto the plane or even just to store the bag. Bottom line, this is a very solid, well-made garment travel bag and I can 100% recommend this garment bag to any traveler. This is easily a 5-star travel bag.

First and foremost, this thing is HUGE. Take however large youre imagining it to be, and go larger. I decided to try it out at a conference where I was speaking and attending meetings over a full week. I needed multiple suits, plenty of shirts, leisure clothes, and exercise clothes (including shoes). The bag held everything I needed, and had room to spare. In addition, everything arrived looking like it had just come from the dry cleaners. The downside? The bag was so heavy that I almost had to pay a surcharge. This wasnt the bags fault. Its as light as one could hope for. The problem is that it comfortably holds so much stuff that you wont realize youve packed fifty pounds worth of stuff into it - until you try to lift it off the bed. Everything about the bag shows Travelpros customary commitment to quality, durability, and practicality. Those who wear dresses and gowns might miss the fold-out panel typical in garment bags. This has been replaced with a second clasp for additional hanging clothes. The bag is deep enough that you can easily double longer garments back on themselves, but - if you typically travel only with longer garments - you may want to consider one of Travelpros other options (all of which are excellent, in my experience). The weight and size of the bag makes it a little tricky to navigate, but the wheels held up well, and the handle seemed more than strong enough for the burden I placed on it. My only gripe was with the integrated combination lock, which I found to be worthless. Beyond that, if you want a massive, extremely durable, well-organized bag for carrying a couple weeks worth of formal clothing, you cant go wrong with the Travelpro 50.

This is exactly what I was looking for, the only thing missing is there doesn’t seem to be a way to hang it on a door like I’m used to.

Crappy product. Whoever heard of a hanging bag you can’t hang up on the door. It is unbelievable to think that this company was too cheap to put a hanger on the bag.

So, I purchased this bag in advance of a trip that I had scheduled a few months later. When I finally pulled the bag out to use it, one of the clips wouldnt lock. With the 30-day Amazon return policy having expired, I thought No problem. They have a lifetime warranty. I will just have it fixed, right? Unfortunately wrong. I contacted TravelPro which directed me to the nearest repair center. The day after I dropped it off, the repair center called to say that TravelPro doesnt have the part in stock (what?) and, therefore, it is NOT under warranty (again, what??). They would be happy to fix it, but their clip will not match and it will cost me $48!!! Words of wisdom. Get this bag out when you receive it and give it a fine-tooth combing but, more importantly, do NOT be fooled by the so called warranty. The fact that they dont even have those clips in stock (probably an item that costs less than a dollar), means they likely dont have many parts in stock. And why wont TravelPro pay for the repair?? UPDATE: TravelPro has since stopped taking phone calls for customer support. Everything is email or live chat, to which they dont respond to either.
