> 24 hourI dont see any rust anywhere for couple of days so thats good, but i suspect its only because of a high concentration recommended by the MFG. Something like 32 to 64 parts water kind weird number if you ask me, not exactly sure but its even more weird that this, trust me. Basically i ended up mixing 1 part solution to 2 parts water. I used distilled water just to be safe. Its cheap and clean. it sat for 3 days wet, no rust anywhere so i think we are good on rust concerns.

> 24 hourWide range of effective concentration. Stays emulsified well with intermittent use a few weeks in between. Has almost no smell and hasn’t cause any skin issues. Protects the metal well, the mild steel filings I left on my bandsaw have little to no rust which was surprising to me.

> 24 hourHavent had a lot of time working with this coolant bu so far so good. Lubricity seem good . No rust issues yet . It maybe a problem down the road with residue. Machine is sticky after use . It calls for 1.8 binx dilution. I guessed at mixing it ( 1 gallon jug) in 3 machines with 5+gallon sumps . So at 1.8 binx i have another 6 gallons mixed . 22:1 would be a good starting point

> 24 hourI read through some of the comments on the mix ratio and settled on trying 5 oz per gallon. Ran my mill in the evening and shut down. In the morning I came into shop and the mill had started to rust. I cleaned that up and increased my concentration to about 1/3 of a gallon of Trim to 4 gallons of water. That works pretty good but I still see a little bit of tendency to rust here and there. Thus I am going to use a full half gallon of Trim to 4 gallons of water. That might be a bit heavy, but rust is no fun! I spent about 20 years in the machine shop in one career. that ended in 1994. So I have seen my fair share of coolant. I would say Trim does a nice job and is pleasant to work with vs what we used back in the day. But do watch your concentration level! P
