> 24 hourBlack came out blue, even if I put in less water to make the color more saturated. I used it on a 100% cotton shirt, so I expected it to be vibrant.

> 24 hourOnce you mix a color you MUST use it within 45 minutes or it loses its potency. You cannot save for another day / project. Also, SUPER BIG is misleading...the amount of clothing/ items you can dye is really dependent on the size. If you are doing size large/ XL or bigger it only does 2-5 shirts OR LESS (again dependent on amount of colors and design you want - the more colors and the bigger the design the less items you will be able to do). Plus you are stuck with colors you really dont need or want and are wasted. I did one shirt size 3X with 6 colors and did not have enough to do a second and now am stuck with brown, black, red, lime, yellow and green colors that I really cant use. This kit would be good for a kids play date or party. If you are planning on experimenting or doing a lot of dyeing on different projects you would be better off getting the individual jars of powder and measuring & mixing as needed.

> 24 hourI bought this as a gift for my son who wanted to do some type of project that he could also gift to family members since he has not been able to see them in a while due to the pandemic. It was such a fun and easy family project. His Grandparents and Aunts loved the shirts so much.♡♡♡

> 24 hourAs a tie-dye product, this stuff is fine. The colors are nice and vivid and you get a lot for your money. BUT, as I just spent half a damn hour on the phone with poison control trying to figure out the toxicity of this stuff, I WILL NEVER buy this brand again. There is no information on the packaging or insert about toxicity. Not only is there no information on their website (aside from how to buy more of their products) about what the dyes are made of, if theyre toxic, or what you should do if accidentally ingesting--they dont even have the decency to list a phone number or contact information aside from a generic email address. To be clear, I had a bottle spill, the cat decided to walk through it before I could clean it up, then he started licking his feet. I finally did a super broad google search of Tulip One Step and got some random ass phone number. Played press-button roulette for a few minutes, then was finally given a number for poison control. It took two separate people from poison control to find enough of a chemical inventory of the product to let me know that, Tulips dye recipe is a SECRET....but there is a general statement of its nonhazardous, so whatevs I guess. How fing hard is it to make an easily visible/accessible toxicity label?

> 24 hourThis was a great kit to use for a tiedyeing party we had! The colors are vibrant and have remained vibrant and colorful through at least the first few washes. Obviously each bottle is relatively small so you don’t get a ton of each color, but we were able to tie dye ~10 men’s size small/medium shirts and a few kids dresses.

> 24 hourThis was a gift. It was easy to prepare. Comes with nice directions and ideas. Colors came out bright. We did wash our items first and let them sit overnight. Gloves are a must unless you wanted colored hands for a few days.

> 24 hourWe used this kit to tie dye at my daughters 5th bday party. We did about 8 kids shirts and 10 adults. We had enough left for probably 2 more shirts. The dye is really vibrant and was easy to use.

> 24 hourBuying this kit was a no-brainer as I was searching for a simple kit with many color options, and pretty cost effective. Ill add some tips that will help your colors pop, and stay sharp wash after wash. Get yourself some organic urea nitrogen, and soda ash for dye. Both can be found here on Amazon under the Jacquard brand. Dick Blick has both of these items for considerably less cost, but I wanted everything to arrive at once so I ordered everything from Amazon! Step 1: Add two cups of the soda ash to two gallons of warm water, and dissolve. Be careful with this step as the fumes can be quite caustic. WEAR GLOVES. The soda ash will severely dry out your hands, and its just an unpleasant experience. Add items you wish to Tie dye to the water, and soda ash mixture, let sit for around an hour, be sure that items are thoroughly soaked. Step 2: since the dye is in 12, 4 ounce bottles, add only one half tablespoon of the urea organic nitrogen to the dye powder before filling with warm water, and shaking! Shake it up!! Shake it real good, yall! Now, your dye bottles are filled, your items are soaked, and your knees are shaking because you are ready to dye! Wring out all excess water from your items, and choose your design. This kit has a paper showing different designs, but YouTube is a great place to look up ideas! Now, if you wear any size shirt greater than a Mens large, I recommend doing the sunburst design, as it takes considerably less dye to cover, and saturate. Smaller items will look much better tie dyed, such as socks and underwear. As you can see in my photos. Finally, youve dyed all the things! Use plastic bags or saran wrap to wrap them each individually, never place two dyed items together or the colors will bleed into one another. This kits specifies to wrap for 8 hours, but I waited around 18 hours before unwrapping. Rinse excess dye out with COLD water, and wash on delicate, with cold water! Dry however you wish! I hung mine up to dry.
