18-12-2024I have an 11-year-old who is exploring the world of art. These have been great for all mediums pencil, watercolor brushes, crayons. Throw them in a backpack with supplies and they are good for a sleepover, road trip, or nature walk for inspiration. Already posted about 5 selections to Instagram!

> 3 dayAvoid at all cost. The paper is very thin and if you erase it smudges everywhere. Worst 6 dollars I have spent in my life.

> 3 dayI have a couple smaller sketch books (5.5x8.5 in both 60 lb and 90 lb) from this brand that I like, so I was glad to try this larger size. I really like it too! What I like: - Even though its bigger than the other sketch books I have, its not overwhelmingly large. Its just a bit bigger than the lined spiral notebooks I used to take notes in school, and it fits well in a backpack. Having 30 sheets is just right to me, because even with the thicker paper its not cumbersome. - The spiral top is very practical. Pages can be turned easily without falling out of the book. Its easy to hold at an angle without worrying about a top page. - The paper is very white, especially when compared with the slightly less bright 60 lb sketch paper from this brand. Of note: - The pages are not additionally perforated, but due to the holes at the top for the spiral binding, they can be easily removed without harming other pages. - This 90 lb paper is not quite as smooth as the 60 lb paper from this brand. - While we plan to primarily use this paper for pencil sketches, I was curious if/how much it would allow marker to spread. A red dot was placed in the corner of a page using a fine-tip Sharpie marker. With this 90 lb paper, it could be seen on the back of the page of the dot and very slightly on the front of the next page. The smaller (which I already had) and larger (seen here) sheet sizes are a great combo for all sorts of sketches! I received this product for free or a heavily discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
