> 3 dayI installed this as an upgrade for a John Deere LA115 mower. I had seen youtube videos saying that they greatly improve steering feel. Installation went smoothly, although I did need to file down some casting burrs on the cross beam on the mower to get the snap rings to fit properly. If you do this make sure you clean the filings off completely before you install the bearings. Honestly, I didnt notice much difference from before I installed these bearings (and yes, I did grease them thoroughly and grease readily comes out from between the two washers that serve as races for the bearing). If you think bearings are better than machined and greased surfaces than by all means install these on your mower, but if you grease your mower every season at a minimum, you probably wont notice much difference if any after installing these.

> 3 dayI feel a little dim witted for not thinking of this myself. I worked in heavy truck repair for years and understood the concept of thrust bearings in king pin set ups. This is the same principle. BTW, they work great. I can steer my mower with one hand again.

> 3 dayA great idea for all lawn tractors which have lousy metal to metal contact for steering. This solves it!! The bad? 10 to 12 days to get it. Boooo!!
