21-12-2024I will start off by saying I tend to be fairly picky about my backpacks. Even when I was in undergrad and grad school, I would steer towards bags I could buy at places like REI - basically items I knew would be high quality and rugged. This bag is certainly not rugged. That is the most negative statement I can make about it though. This bag is quite beautiful in person, and while it is not rugged, it does not feel like it will fall apart with regular use. For the price, this is an amazing bag. After being able to use it for a small amount of time, I plan on purchasing one for my partner, who has already attempted to permanently “borrow” it. Honestly, this bag looks and feels so nice, I may get another for myself in different color and consider buying some as presents for others.

> 3 dayBeen using this for three and a half years of college. I always carry it to class(even in the rain) and haven’t experienced any issues. I definitely recommend using a foam laptop case when carrying your laptop as I cracked my screen in the bag(my own fault.) love this product.

> 3 dayIve had this backpack for two and half years, and its has held up okay. However, due to some poor design choices and the availability of better value backpacks, I do not recommend this backpack. First of all, the backpack cannot stand up by itself! This is largely because of the placement of the pockets— normally, side pockets come all the way to the bottom of a backpack, so that a heavy bottle doesnt cause it to tip over. Also, anything in those front interior pockets falls out when you open the backpack. For me this is a problem, as the things that I want to keep on the inside of the main pocket are things I want to protect from weather or theft. This is my #1 beef with the backpack as it affects functionality AND aesthetics, which is the main appeal of this backpack. The backpack looks a lot less cute when its all slumped over. (The picture shows what happens when I try to stand the backpack up -_-) In general, the zippers & straps are nothing to write home about, but the backpack has held up pretty okay. Theres a hole forming near top handle seam and the Keyfob broke after using it for less than a month, but otherwise everything is fine. Since buying this backpack, Ive learned that Landsend has backpacks on sale all the time...so theyre cheaper AND more functional.

Greater than one weekThis backpack is perfect for students who uses public transportation because its design keeps everything inside safe and thief-proof. I especially love the small pocket in the side that touches my back because I can just reach my wallet without having to reach far. Its sturdy and nicely made.

> 3 dayToday I got to test the water resistance of the backpack on a rainy day. Even that it wasnt raining too much and I was using an umbrella, still the inside of the backpack got wet. Papers and my computer were wet inside. I walked less than a mile from the parking lot to the office. Now I have to buy another backpack because the water resistance material was importan in my decision making for getting a new backpack. I used to have an amazon basic backpack, and that one even resisted a trip to Antartica. Completely disappointed.
