Greater than one weekRecieved a defective one.. got refund and bought another that worked perfectly. Customer service was good so I wont kill them because something that was probably broken from the factory isnt their fault

> 3 dayVery pleased with the extra capacity. I bought this to add a secondary drive to a laptop in order to store a large amount of WAVE files. It fit seamlessly in the caddy. I have a WD 3 TB external drive and have never had a problem with it so when I needed an internal drive I turned to WD. After installing the drive, I activated the new storage in Windows 11 by going to “Disk Management” and ran “New Simple Volume.” The WD is now the “D” drive on my laptop and works perfectly.

> 3 dayI have a sager np7280 with 3 1TB drives. the system drive was starting to fail and the used space on the other 2 was about 80% so I bought 2 at first, cloned the system drive and 1 of the others. I like that hese drives are slimmer than the ones I am replacing, system preformance has improved and that the laptop is restored to a fantastic working state. I have decided to bite the bullet and replace the 3rd one as I definitely like having the extra storage space up from 1TB to 2TB

> 3 dayQuality drive with a lot of space. I opted for a spinner because of recoverability of my data in case of...hold on a minute. LITERALLY as Im writing this, I got a USB connected noise and the drive Im reviewing disconnected and reconnected. Dont know whats going on now and what I should really give for a review. Will have to update later....Ill leave it at 5 stars for now.

> 3 dayDidnt get instructions about getting the Acronis drive backup/copy software as was listed in item description. I DO NOT want to pay monthly subscription price for the software I would use maybe once or twice a month. Too expensive for that.

> 3 dayI chose this mechanical hard drive for use to back up specific files from a bunch different computers; I put it in a portable enclosure I can move from one machine to another. Why a mechanical drive? SSDs don’t have the track record for data longevity that I needed for this application. This is data I absolutely must keep, so the potential for an SSD’s nonvolatile memory chips to have any problems wasn’t something I wanted to deal with. Also, the price point for mechanical hard drives (from reliable brands/sources) is still lower than for similar-capacity SSDs (from reliable brands/sources). The drive was easy to install - my enclosure mimics a laptop’s hard drive bay - and it spun up and ran from the start without issues. This was a great choice for my uses, and I’d buy another if and when I need it.
