20-12-2024Lho montato su una Z590. Installazione velocissima, tempi di start 5 secondi. Mai un problema. E Perfetto. Peccato il prezzo sia altino, ma alla fine li vale tutti. Voto complessivo 9.

> 3 dayBlazingly fast transfers running across full fat PCIe 4.0 interface. You’ll never look at a PCIe 3.0 SSD ever again. Wait till Western Digital or Amazon have a promotion because you’ll save yourself at least £20 off full retail price — from experience, usually every three or four months. Don’t waste your money getting the Heatsink version if your motherboard has an aluminium M.2 shield — just invest in some thermal pads at 1mm, 2mm & 3mm and find the thickness that works best.

> 3 dayThe hardware itself is fine, but the software to clone your hard drive, if you want to transfer your operating system and programs to the new drive, is a mess.

> 3 dayEasy to install under the heatsink. Make sure you place it in the m.2 slot that connects to the cpu not the chipset if it is your boot drive. I have the sn750 in a chipset slot for low powered games and basic storage. The cpu slot will typically be closer to your cpu and usually labelled 1. Dont get the version with a built in heatsink if your mobo has one already and save yourself some money.

Greater than one weekIts extremely fast. You can improve its performance somewhat in certain situations by enabling Game Mode in the WD Dashboard. This prevents it from entering a low power state while idle, which will increase its power draw, but at normal electricity prices running this thing at its MAXIMUM power spec (which is a huge overestimate) 24/7 would cost on the order of $3/yr.
