Excelente ssd para playstation 5, lo mejor es comprarlo sin disipador y adquirir disipador sabrent por aparte, como nota lo agarré en oferta en 3500 pesos de 1tb y el de 2tb en 7160 pesos.

I installed this in my X570 board, complete with the boards heatsink, but it still hit 81 degrees according to the WD toolbox. The temperature graph showed the values in red, suggesting that the drive would be damaged running at that temperature for long periods. Shortly afterwards, the file transfer I was using to test the drive slowed to a crawl.

I used this for my PS5 along with Jonsbo heatsink. Used the white thermal tapes that come with the heatsink. Works well. Ps5 reports a speed of 6550. Would have like to get the 2tb but the price is more than double. Cheers.

I have had several types and brands of drives in my computers over the decades. In all cases, Western Digital has proven to do as claimed and be reliable. I installed this SSD, and a Sabrent Rocket NVMe Gen 4 1T, using the two slots on an X570 motherboard, so the tests results are probably a fair comparison. The Sabrent started out as very impressive, hitting numbers close to as advertised, but has developed a problem with slow write speeds -- ironic given its superior write performance when new. (I need to try different drivers and re-format to see if write speeds will recover.) Meantime, I bought this WD, and its proving to be excellent. File transfers show an impressive, sustained speed throughout the transfer. Ive included screen shots of tests done when the Sabrent, new and now, and two recent tests on the WD. Ive had dozens of drives over the years, and Ive concluded that WD is the most reliable. The only time a WD drive has failed it was my fault -- those 10 000 rpm Raptors needed aggressive cooling, which I failed to provide. FWIW, both these NVMe drives were installed with heat sinks.

Super easy to install, a tone of memory for nearly 8 games which Ive already installed and still lots of memory left. Highly recommend this.

The future of gaming has arrived with the WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe SSD. Long load times are obsolete with PCIe Gen4 technology, reaching up to 7000MB/s read speed and up to 5300MB/s write speed (1TB model). Spend more time playing and less time deleting, storing your latest and favorite games with up to 2TB capacity (not intended for NAS or server environments). As used for storage capacity, 1GB = 1 billion bytes and 1TB = one trillion bytes. Actual user capacity may be less depending on operating environment. As used for transfer rate, 1 MB/s = 1 million bytes per second. Based on internal testing; performance may vary depending upon host device, usage conditions, drive capacity, and other factors.
