Ive had the worst time finding a way to put in 1/8 grommets. Ive purchased several sets of anvils and setters for putting them in with a hammer, and NONE of them worked, at all. They would trash the grommets and weaken the fabric, as well as being difficult to work with, and loud. The Crop-o-dile is quiet, and easy. The mixed reviews scared me off at first. I think you just need to go gently with this tool. My only issue was with using the punch for the first time... I think a piece of metal inside was offset a bit, because I got a loud bang and a small chip of metal out of the machine. After that, it worked smoothly.

Great for leather, making eyelet/grommet holes in jeans, hats, etc. Also perfect for punching vents in silicone lids (for microwave cooking, covering food as it cools, etc.)

I absolutely loved it....though at Rs. 13000/- I feel I paid a ransom!!

This tool has so many functions I dont know where to put it - tool box (for projects), craft room (for scrap booking), closet (for belts), or just in the junk drawer for easy access. What I was impressed with was the solid construction and sharp punching. It went through five layers of heavy plastic, three layers of gorilla duct tape and one layer of regular duct tape. I purchased it for punching holes in my sunroom plastic window covering project. Everyone should have one of these!

It really does set snaps and eyelets, really cool, a bit big so not so easy to use if you have small hands but does the job.
