after 4 months use on Synology as caches raid 0 - read-only - I got the warning that one of the 2 I use is crashing.. i am try to resolve problems not sure if the drive go bad or what yet ..

WD has been reliable. The SSD Red meets my needs and so far so good. Use it for Time machine backups so it is used with some frequency. It runs on the warm side so plan accordingly regarding your enclosure, thermal pads, etc.

With my current project, l am modifying and moving a large amount of data to/from my NAS. This SSD helps keep the transfer rate high.

Worked great in my Asustor AS6704T nas.

On my home NAS, which gets fairly heavy use, a pair of these gave me a nice R/W speed enhancement via SSD Cache. Very happy with the performance.

It is a good thing these come with a long warranty since I have had my second failure in under a year in my Synology NAS. If you buy these, make sure you purchase a spare if you are concerned with downtime since you will need it. Other than that they seem to do the job.

I used two of these drives as cache for a Asustor Lockerstor 4 Gen 2, no issues.

Very fast and excellent warranty

Bought 4TB model from Amazon. Installed w/o problems & is running well in HP Elitebook 745 G6. (Used for a Windows 11 clean install). Applied thermal pads to the boom (x1) and to the top (x2) of the card, so the top makes contact w/ aluminum chassis. Temp readings are low (~32-35). Can’t comment on longevity (since I just bought my unit), but so far it looks very good.
