> 24 hourFinding a reasonably priced 4TB NVMe that will write a whole TeraByte at nearly full speed is almost impossible. But this one will. The next best alternative costs 50% more as of February 2022.

> 24 hourBought 2 of these for a Synology DS1522+ which work only as caching memory (R/W). They have improved response for 2 virtual machines and file retrieval.

> 24 hourOn my home NAS, which gets fairly heavy use, a pair of these gave me a nice R/W speed enhancement via SSD Cache. Very happy with the performance.

> 24 hourThis went into a Synology NAS just fine. The Synology OS will throw an uncertified error your way to try and persuade you to buy their own brand...but it will work fine. Hit rate to the SSD is very high, so it is definitely accelerating things in workloads.

> 24 hourMy previous NVMe drive died quickly and just outside of warranty. I found that I really tore through it as I do a lot of 4k video and photo editing. I was less worried about speed and more worried about getting something that could hold up longer. These Red SSDs have a significantly more TBW rated than most of the others in their class. You can get something much faster and bigger for the same price as one of these... but if you need the durability, look no further. I cannot speak to the durability as its still very new... but I can say that the speeds look to be as advertised through my limited testing and so far, has not let me down.

> 24 hourIt is a good thing these come with a long warranty since I have had my second failure in under a year in my Synology NAS. If you buy these, make sure you purchase a spare if you are concerned with downtime since you will need it. Other than that they seem to do the job.

> 24 hourI purchased 2 of the 500GB for my Synology 920+ running DSM7 Easy tool-less installation. Decided to use only ONE of them in READ mode for my Calibre and Plex libraries as well as Docker images. Noticeably faster load up of art work which is important for the Media room experience. Movies will not see any speed boost - as why would they? But the artwork loading is quick and very noticeable once cached. Synology WILL complain when you set up the Cache as there are no WD products in the Synology compatibility chart. Dont now if this is due to a failed business agreement or whatever, however it will work. I have 15TB of storage, and the Single 500GB NVMe SSD is more than enough. I will likely move the other one to another NAS, or into my computer. i likely could have gotten away with a 256GB NVMe SSD but room to grow is always good. Please note that the Synology Read/Write cache mirror set up has caused some people grief in the past, so please do your own research on this before doing it. Personally I dont feel the need.

> 24 hourInstalled in QNap NAS. Works as expected. No problems
