> 24 hourAs an avid reader of all things creepy and ghoulie, Ive always loved supernatural fiction. But after a while the vampires, werewolves, witches and faeries all start to blend together. That is one of the reasons I loved Yoke. It is a retelling of that same old story: girl meets boy; they fall in love; and then they struggle against the epic forces of the universe that are conspiring to keep them apart. And in this case, those forces are truly EPIC. This fast-paced, action-packed story had me up into the wee hours.

> 24 hourThe characters were so endearing and concepts so unique, I had to pull an all nighter to finish it. The forces of good and evil so well depicted by E.M Ragland give the characters the opportunity to show their metal. But at the same time, the story is full of very realistic relationships, acts of love and selflessness as well as weakness and betrayal. The journey of the story is fun and full of darkness and light. The climax is riveting and full of energy. The ending is perfect. Beyond being an exceptional YA book, it does a good job of helping us to question ourselves. The writing is very smart and enables you to put yourself into the story and ask yourself what would I do? or what side am I on? In short, Sophie is strong, lovable yet vulnerable, and Joseph is dreamy (in a bad boy sort of way). I cant wait to read the next installment of this wonderful trilogy to find out what happens next! I hope that love and goodness conquer all with plenty more twists and turns on the way.

> 24 hourYOKE is a noteworthy addition to YA literature! This is an intelligent, well written story about love, loss, sacrifice and the lengths we are willing to go to protect the ones we love. Raglands characters are honest and relatable and every page leaves you wanting more. Read YOKE! You will be glad you did!

> 24 hourI was intrigued by the subject matter of YOKE as opposed to the books about vampires and werewolves that pack the shelves of book stores these days. YOKE opened up a whole new world of fascinating beings that I had never heard of before. There is a tremendous love story here and you cant help being terrified that the forces that conspire against them may prove too much to overcome. This is a battle between good and evil of the most epic proportions involving the most unlikely of heroes. Its a page turner that you wont be able to put down.

> 24 hourThis is a first-of-its-kind read for me. It held my interest, moving at a pace I found easy to keep up with. I found the characters realistic and relateable. The author keeps the reader right on track, describing events and characters in an articulate manner. She shows a lot of insight into her characters, weaving events that spark ongoing interest in the reader.
