> 24 hourI installed this in a medium-gauge steel mailbox 125 feet from the hub which sits inside a wood frame house. Despite reading a very weak -120dBm signal strength in the app, the sensor triggers correctly every time the mailbox is opened. The app is superb, allowing you to define what aspect of the event triggers a text or email: opening, closing, or being open for a specified length of time. You can pick whether to get text, email, neither, or both. For tech geeks, this merits 6 stars. Ive also got the excellent leak sensors.

> 24 hourI purchased this device because my husband kept leaving our front door opened. Can you imagine how frustrating that would be? So after looking at many of the available options on Amazon, I decided on this one. Customer service was incredible. They sent me instructions on installation and we’re extremely responsive to my questions. They have a YouTube channel that walks you through installing everything as well. They even walked me through enabling Alexa with my device. This device was very easy to install, but the best part is, it works like magic. Both my husband and I get alerts on our phones when the door opens and closes, and Alexa also chimes in! This was an incredible find, and I am so happy I made this purchase. No more opened door! I highly recommend this product for home security.

> 24 hourBest contact open/closed sensor on the market. New strong signal to hub, utilizes two alkaline AAA battery batteries, runtime of batteries is 2 years,. I have six in service and have not had a dropped signal from any sensor. Also can utilize multiple programming possibilities and notifications.

> 24 hourProduct itself is great but not getting timely push notifications when door is opened or closed. Only received them when clicking on the application itself. Have sent an email to the company requesting assistance but so far no response. I also have the SmartThings Hub and inotifications are instant and problem-free. I just received an email from the company and they said that there is a bug in the app and theyll be releasing a new one within 7 days Ill keep you posted as to the progress and update my rating as necessary App released this morning and now push notifications coming in just fine. They need to work on their English translations for the alert, but thats a minor issue. I hope this company succeeds they have awesome products!

> 24 hourThis is an excellent product, but it is a bit hard to configure. For example, my freezer is in the garage and I sure don’t want to be told every time I open the freezer door, but I do want to be told if the door is left open for more than five minutes. Configuring the 5 minute alert was quite the chore and yet I’m certain that’s quite a common request? so they could’ve given a real example. Also, once you register your email address with the app, you are forced to register a second time on their website. That second registration is really not obvious. Nonetheless, I have bought additional sensors from them

> 24 hourSo I got into the YoLink LORA to get notifications from a mailbox about 200-250ft from my front door. Its a direct line of sight from there, but I started with putting the hub in the basement at the equipment rack. I figured if it didnt work there I could move it closer to the front of the house. I had no issues with range. The sensor will reliably work through a handful of walls, across the open field, and even from within the all metal mailbox. I have no doubt that without walls and a clear line of sight, 500ft would be simple. I actually think that the 1/4mile (1,320ft) advertised range might not just be marketing fluff. So far Im very pleased with YoLink. The app is easy to use, setup is dead simple, and the range is unparalleled.
