Easily monitor temperature when not home, alert if it exceeds limits. Very easy to set up with the app.

I put one of these in each of my freezers. Even the one out in the garage gets a good signal! It is peace of mind to know I will be notified if there is an issue with the temperature before it is too late.

I stumbled upon YoLink while searching on the internet for separate smart temperature and smart humidity sensors for several automation projects in my home, so I was excited to find they have a temperature/humidity sensor (in a single unit). As an electronics and home automation enthusiast, I have since been adding them all over my home. Here are a couple pictures, and here are some applications Ive tried out or will be implementing in my home: Automating control of exhaust fan in bathroom - turn on fan before the room steams up during a shower/bath Keeping an eye on a fridge on its last leg Monitoring the temp and humidity of a bearded dragon tank. Both are very important. I also have automations to turn the heat lamp on if it gets too cold. My daughter, its her pet, has the app installed and receives notifications of problems with the temp or humidity. I also have a general tank light on a smart plug, on a schedule. I am going to be installing a whole house fan soon, and I want to use these, in most rooms of the house, to slow or turn off the fan, as well as to control ceiling fans in the bedrooms (to turn them down or off as it starts to get too cold at night, with the WHF running all night, otherwise). The ceiling fans are on Lutron Caseta switches, but the Alexa and IFTTT.com integration allows for automations that include multiple brands. Very flexible! I can see additional uses for this, keeping an eye on a wine cellar, a leaky basement (in conjunction with their Water Sensor), an unoccupied property or building or room subject to damage from freezing, extreme heat or humidity (and mold and other resulting issues). Thats a great price, too. Which is good, because I plan to get more of them!

Easier to set up than Samsung smartthings. Doesnt use wifi, instead LoRa which reduces load on router etc. Temp unit has been in our cryo freezer for months. Wanted to know how much i can reduce the fridge/freezer setting to stop paying for -15 freezer in a home kitchen. Signal can go through walls and the metal of a cooler or fridge.

I confused two products that I bought. Check my Govee review for this YoLink item. I blame Amazon for not having the product brand name on the items to review page … and the icon photos are extremely small! Amazon gets a 2 star on that “service”

Although YoLink does not support the major home automation protocols like Z-Wave, Zigbee, Matter or Thread, these devices have a major plus, they work, they work the first time and very easy to set up which cannot be said for the above protocols. Adjustment provided if you need to make an adjustment to temperature readings, mine were close enough that I did not bother. History display is excellent and alarms seem to work as intended. Note that it requires its own hub but the hub is inexpensive and only one is needed. I have not tried to get system to work with Google so can not speak to that. Excellent for use in freezers, work well through the steel box.

Had an issue with my outdoor fridge and wanted to monitor it. I can see the drastic swings in the freezer temp and humidity due to rising temps here in south Texas. Show just how hard your compressor is working in a hot garage. Also will save you a ton of money in ruined food.

Worked easily out of the box (I already owned the hub). Like many, I am using in a cold environment, my refrigerator. So the notification from the device occurs when the temperature goes DOWN. But in these applications, I am obviously concerned if the temperature goes UP, indicating a malfunction or power outage in my frig. UPDATE: I subsequently figured out that one can custom specify a normal range of temps, and be notified when the temp falls outside the range. Now 5 stars.
