Greater than one weekThe seller claims these are Birch, but theyre not. Although the images show tree rings too wide to be Birch, I thought Id chance it because not everything sold on Amazon looks exactly like pictured. I purchased the 1-3/4 inch balls to drill and mount on the ends of a woodworking vice handle made with a birch dowel rod. Birch is a very hard wood. What I retrieved was very soft, too soft to be held in a vice tight enough to drill with a Forstner bit without denting.

> 3 dayThese were perfect for my project. I was looking for replacement balls for some baby toys. I wrapped these in yarn for my son to use with an object permanence box someone gave us. I can add extra yard and give him a hammer to knock the balls in. I’m also planning on using them on a ramp for him. I like how they are 1 3/4 rather than just half inch increments.
