Really want to love this computer
> 24 hourI’m not leaving a full review, because I can’t unlock the XPS’s capabilities. I can not download the programs I need due to the WiFi chip. From previous reviews, I knew this was an issue before I bought it and I kinda thought Dell would correct the issue for PR reasons. So, as others have done, i’ve ordered the Intel chip to replace the Killer chip. I really was hoping I wouldn’t have this problem because it’s supposed to be an awesome computer. I also don’t want to wait on Dell for the easy fix.

> 24 hourLove just about everything about this laptop except for the thermals. The temperature reaches high during idle which makes the fan always run killing the battery in the process. They should have gone with better thermals and 4 cores instead of 6.

> 24 hourAnd now, no recourse. Its a lot of money to pay for a laptop that only lasted such a short time. Very disappointing

> 24 hourThe hardware is among the best available and the build quality is amazing. Thats the nice things. The frustrations have been firmware / driver support. Dell has add on drivers for audio, power management, wireless, etc. Many of their competitors due the same, but I havent been able to use windows default drivers to supplant them and the crash rate for some of them is outstanding. Pair that with bi-monthly firmware updates that I suspect are the cause of many bugs (machine has been failing to resume from sleep off and on for over 3 months) and you basically ruin the pros. Previously I had a 16 GB memory rig that caused me to kill and load VMs constantly. More cores + memory should have been a significant time savings, but instead all of the time saved and then some has been spent with Dell support or trying to troubleshoot machines myself. If the end user is not tech savvy, I would expect these frustrations to be compounded several times over.

> 24 hourProbably the best laptop Ive ever owned. Came exactly as described, with Windows 10 Pro. This machine is solid, super fast, amazing screen, and its a work horse. My one complaint is the camera, its in a horrible location. People are either looking up your nose, or watching your fingers type. For me, I dont use the camera, so it is a non-issue. I would highly recommend this machine for editing video and designing graphics.

> 24 hourIt worked well and I loved it for 3 months and then out of nowhere it started crashing with hard drive not installed errors. Also constantly deadlocked/completely froze when trying to fix, requiring it to be forced to shutdown by holding the power. Eventually, I could not restart it and it gave light signals indicating a problem with the CPU. Complete waste of money. The price for the hardware was the selling point, but it was too good to be true.

> 24 hourI finally caved and spent almost $2000 on this laptop. I’ve been using Blender lately, and my old laptop couldn’t handle it. When it runs, it runs great! Super fast rendering. Clear screen with vibrant colors. I love it. What I don’t love is what’s in the attached picture. I have no idea what that is or how to make it go away except rebooting and losing my work. This laptop also gets VERY hot, as well as the charging dock. To the point that I can’t leave it plugged in unless I’m with it because I’m worried it might burn my house down. If somebody could tell me what that glitching is, I’d really appreciate it.

> 24 hourThe 32 GB RAM allows me to do the jobs I need and work on multiple projects at once. Ive been very happy with this computer and its functions. Its also very stylish for those which this matters. My only negative I would mention is that battery life is only fair. I was hoping it would be better. Overall you cant go wrong with this purchase.
