(5 Pack) Ware Manufacturing Willow Branch Ball 4-inch

> 3 dayI bought this for my cat thinking it was smaller...should have looked closer at the photos, lol. I also confused willow (which can apparently be harmful to cats if ingested) with wicker...though Ive seen pet stores selling willow balls for cats so Im not sure. Cat didnt show much interest anyway, until I put some silver-vine sticks into it and then she rolls around and rubs her face on it...She doesnt chew or bite it so far, but Ill keep her supervised. It seems there may be two different versions of this going around? I got the darker version that people are citing as the older version. Its quite densely woven, just like the photo. It didnt have anything in the middle, and is a little larger than a baseball, about like a grapefruit. Didnt notice any strong chemical orders or anything. It had a couple dried leaves still on it that definitely looked like willow leaves to me, but Im no botanist.

> 3 dayPros: - Out of four rabbits, only one of them (checkered giant) likes the willow branch balls. However, he loves them and will chew them to bits in 4 hours. Cons: - Made in China - The willow twigs have become much more waxy lately, which makes me wonder if theres a coating on them Notes: - Balls used to have peanuts, but now has a small portion of wooden dowel. We remove the wooden dowel before unsupervised playtime Conclusion: - Although one rabbit loves these, Im going to give him fewer of them, since he is actively ingesting the willow sticks. It is probably time to find a US-made natural version or bake up some pinecones instead.

> 3 dayMy Goffins Cockatoo loves these things. Shell blow through one in about 2 days if motivated. I think the local Pet Source has these for around $7

> 3 dayMy rabbits love these. They toss them around for a while, then gradually chew them into tiny shreds. Its good for their teeth, and a fun enrichment activity. Only trouble is, there are peanuts inside—just two or three, with shells, but still...rabbits shouldnt eat peanuts! I just take the nuts out when theyve chewed through the outer layer and give them to the gerbils, but it wouldve been good to know before I bought the item. Something to be aware of if youre buying this for a rabbit!
