Very good gaming laptop, preforms very well. Although be aware that some games may throttle so I would suggest downloading something like intel extreme tuning utlility or and undervolt. It can run kinda hot and so toning down its power usage helps a bit. Not faulting this laptop because of this, because its an inbuilt feature to protect hardware. I might look later at the thermal paste and see if its on properly but for now this helps a bit. Other than that, the gaming laptop has been doing quite well. I just would recommend buying about a 2 tera solid state for gaming storage and a cooling pad to help with heat.

Ive built and owned many computers, but I have never heard one this loud. The fans are actually louder than my dell R630 and R720XD poweredge servers!

I had this machine for about 2 1/2 years...bought new...mine is older ..but looks like the same keyboard. .Its a gaming laptop but I dont USE FOR GAMING....However, the top black color of the AS keys is already wearing away...its the 4 reddish BORDERED keys - the black coloring wears off completely ..a defect. .and then you have the red plastic below showing with no letter. So you cant sell it like that- looks like *****. The other keys dont do this. just those 4. I dont do a lot of typing..

If it werent for the overheating issues, it would be a fantastic laptop.

The heat is absolutely a problem. For a $1,200 computer to not being able to run CSGO for a full comp match, this was an obvious problem. Fans spinning at nearly 5500 RPM, cpu at over 80 celsius, had to return this because it was so dysfunctional.

Short story: I have a defective laptop, I have received false repairs, I have talked to seven customer support agents, and I have been given misinformation and a complete lack of assistance in getting my device replaced.

Playing CSGO i had to limit framerate to 177FPS in order to avoid overheating of the processor. Ended up returning the laptop as this was not preferred as it still ran at around 85C under cool (65F ambient) with good airflow.

Works great! It was so easy to add extra hard drive space.
