You know Acer is speaking to you when you open the box, lift the heavy power brick, and see (because its bigger) that they are using a standard computer power cable instead of the usual brick cable (a plus, because you can misplace the cable!), but then you see a small package of screws. Why? So you can upgrade the SSD (this model shipped with 512GB) if you want.

This laptop is amazing. It offers something amazing while not being outrageously expensive. The processor runs everything unbelievably smoothly. Sometimes I just let the CPU run everything by itself. When something becomes too much, the GPU kicks in. The GPU is amazing. So far, I have not come across a game or program it cant run without incredible FPS. Highly recommend this computer if you are looking for mobile gaming while still having amazing capability.

This laptop is by no means the greatest gaming laptop out there, but for its price, its perfect! Runs smoothly, does not over heat and the fan is decently quiet. Has downloaded and run all my games perfectly so far. Wifi card also works really well.

This is a laptop with a great combination of features and performance at a very attractive price. I play games, but I also wanted a mobile workstation for digital media work - and this laptop is excellent for this. For starters, the screen is really nice. Motion is smooth, color rendition is excellent and the display’s viewing angles give me good flexibility. I use this laptop, and go back to my old laptop - and such a world of difference. Contrast and brightness are great. The screen is an optimum size - balancing usability with portability.

Good laptop , nice performance with video games , the only bad thing is battery life.

Great quality. System is a huge upgrade from my old laptop. The only thing that I recommend is getting a good sized M.2 SSD and installing it since the SSD already installed is only half a terabyte.

So I compared this one to the performance of a Lenovo Legion 5 that sported an AMD Ryzen 5800H CPU/3050Ti GPU. The Ryzen scored better in Cinebench but the Helios scored better in Heaven due to the 3060. The fans didnt ramp up to bad in both Cinebench and Heaven but the CPU did throttle peaking at 94c. Cinebench score was 12594, Heaven, it scored a 5034 with 406 FPS max. I then ran the same tests using the turbo mode and extreme profile to see what difference it made. The CPU ran much cooler and scored better in Cinebench with a 12824, GPU stayed cooler as well, but performance for whatever reason, slipped. In Heaven I recorded a score of 4264 with 365FPS max. Thought those numbers to be a bit odd, you would think using the extreme mode it would be pulling better numbers on the GPU. I loved the keyboard on this, much more customizable then the Legion 5 was, another thing you can customize in software is the boot logo. The laptop also makes this kind of cool musical tone when you first boot it up which Ive never seen before. Gonna have to find out how that is done and try doing it myself. The IPS screen looks absolutely amazing on this. Power supply is a 230 watt unit and this also comes with a carrying case of sorts that you can put it into. Like I said I compared this to my Lenovo Legion, which is priced about $200 less. All in all, it was very hard to say which is the better machine. There are pluses and minuses to be found in each one, but I think you are getting your moneys worth either way.

I was a massive fan of this laptop. I travel for work and I looked it. Then one day, a week after the warranty expired, the motherboard or something took a dump and acer wants 900 bucks to fix it. I am so determined not to send any money that I am quitting gaming. I live in louisiana and I have never seen anything so disappointing. Thats saying alot......
