The laptop worked fine for a year, then started getting hot when I was using it or charging. It died last week, and the local computer shop said the motherboard is fried, and the replacement cost is the same as a new laptop, so it looks I’m now in the market for a new laptop. I’ve had good luck with Acer laptops in the past, which is why I bought this one. Don’t know if this is just bad luck or a problem with their thin/light lines, but I think my days with Acer are over.

Super fast laptop and easy to set up. Just wish it were a touch screen.

Its a nightmare trying to find a laptop that has a discrete GPU and 2 SSD slots but isnt full on gamer. Im not looking to play all the latest AAA games on a laptop, just run some old games from time to time, but theres no market for people like me apparently. This one however hits just the right spot: perfectly portable and with as much power as you could possibly need on a laptop. Build quality is excellent and I will probably try to slot in an additional 2TB drive, will update if anything goes wrong but so far Im loving it.

Awesome for school, great battery life and also it can run some games well.

I was looking for a laptop good for gaming and work, and this laptop accomplishes a lot of my needs. For all the great specs that this laptops gives, its truly a jack of all trades laptop. Great battery life, and fast charging. Really light weight laptop, and quite portable. The keyboard and trackpad are not the best, but very reliable and solid. Not much to complain about this laptop.

Did not have windows 10 home as advertised, came with windows 11 and lots of bloatware.

Ive had very hit or miss luck with laptops, regardless of the hardware specs. I can finally confidently replace the old desktop with this one. Performing great and a great price. Im not a hardcore gamer or anything, but its probably good for a casual gamer like myself, and Ive done video editing with no problem as well.

This laptop seemed fine for a while but then the left-side USB port stopped working. I spent many frustrating hours trying to install an Entrust data card until realizing it was the port. I found Acers support website difficult to navigate. Finally got through and returned the unit. I clearly explained to the chat agent the issue. And I clearly wrote down the issue on slip of paper and included with the unit. Unit comes back from some facility in Texas - NOT fixed! Same exact problem.
