> 3 dayI went to 3 hardware stores - including the one where I purchased my portable air conditioner and none of them had a replacement vent hose. One store advised me to go to a dedicated heating and air conditioning outlet. They would surely have such a hose. They did not. So I came back to my apartment and searched Amazon. It was right there all along. I wonder why retail is dying. You cant find stuff like this except online. Next time Ill let my fingers do the walking. Regarding the product: Its a good hose. Fits perfectly and it bends without cracking. Check back with me in a couple years to see how well it held up. It is currently Spring of 2022)

> 3 dayThis has been a tad confusing looking to buy a replacement exhaust hose. This whole clockwise/counterclockwise, who wouldve thought lol. And the picture did nothing to help me. I bought this for a Midea, I think its a 5000K BTU portable A/C. I picked the a/c unit up last year I think it was, from the W store; it was the smaller end model-not sure on #. So FYI, it does fit that one. Im only replacing mine due to my cat thinking it was a toy that needed destroyed. Otherwise, if I can cut off the spot, I may still be able to use the hose. I was able to measure the hose opening-easy part-it was about 6 inches, so obviously went with the 5.9 inch. The clockwise/counterclockwise thing threw me though. So, I noticed looking around, most seemed to be selling the counter clockwise, telling me thats the more common one needed, so I went with that. And, I was correct. I dont know how to explain it best, and what confused me at first trying to put this together, theres two rings on the exhaust hose that came with the unit. Youll notice theyre not on the new hose. I think Ive seen those for sale too. At least my a/c unit, they were already attached on the exhaust hose. So I spent a good 2-3 mins trying to figure out what I was trying to do to attach new exhaust hose and realized those rings are what attaches the hose ends to the window plate piece and the piece that slides onto the a/c unit. I tried to unscrew the rings from old hose, they werent moving. I finally ended up having to cut them off and then was able to peel out the old hose from the rings. This is the part where the clockwise/counterclockwise comes into play. You have to line up the hose with the ring just right, and then screw it on. Duh me...first side went on easy peasy. The second side was more difficult to line up, doesnt look like it was cut right, took me a good 5 mins to do. That was it. So far, working good, seems pretty comparable to the original hose as far as material and the metal wiring.

> 3 dayFinally got it hooked up and was ecstatic about the extra length ! The clockwise thread was easy to fit into the existing ends and it is up and running. So happy to have this now as the weather is demanding some help. Fast delivery. Grateful it was available.
