The only way in my experience with this fan to get decent air movement is on MEDIUM or HIGH speeds. But MEDIUM and HIGH speeds are quite noisy -- too loud to operate in an occupied bedroom at sleep time, or family room while watching TV. On LOW the fan loudness is OK, but it hardly seems to move much air volume on LOW. For the price this fan looks good, and may fit your budget. Sadly I will need to pay more for a different brand fan, to get much more air volume movement with lower loudness.

Not fancy, just a good fan at a good price. Cools a medium sized room very well.

I had 2 box fans before from common brands here but they both died last summer after a few years of off and on use. I bought this as it seemed less expensive but similar quality. So far my only complaint is it is loud, even on the lowest setting. It stands up fine and isnt the most attractive design but it functions well.

This fan is just perfect for my needs. I love box fans. Im a child of the 70s when only the rich had AC. We had box fans. The sound of a box fan is relaxing to me and helps me sleep. This fan with its 3 speeds is perfect. It circulates the air nicely and has that perfect box sound I enjoy, which is not loud, just perfect for a box fan. It fits inside a window perfect and will bring that wonderful fall air in. The fan also looks great. Love the black. Thanks Amazon, I will be purchasing 2 more!!

Awesome fan. Just as it said it would be. Three control level. Less noise .

Air output is pretty good for the compact size. Its extremely light weight, but still sturdy. The noise level is almost TOO quiet if you like using one of these for white noise while you sleep like me. But overall, its a pretty good value.

The air flow is low.

You get what you pay for- not a high output fan, but it moves the air around enough
